And yes the character comments are retarded. It's just a convenient excuse for landing guys who aren't highly recruited. Tennessee wouldn't have won **** in the 90's if they had ignored kids who didn't necessarily fit into some of the fans definition of "high character" kids.

I agree with most of what you're saying. Some fans spin things in UT's favor no matter what. In fairness though, do you think any unestablished coach could do any better recruiting than Dooley has given the amount of negativity the program has endured over the past few years? I still think we will have a few elite players jump on board if we can show the program is headed in the right direction. Kids are hesitant to jump on a train that has wrecked the past few seasons on and off the field.

I think Dooley is doing a solid job and is working hard. Also, even if he has a class similar to the 06 and 08 classes, which on paper it appears that is the way we are heading, it is still going to be a better effort than what Fulmer's staff gave those 2 years. In Dooley's defense that previous staff was recruiting kids to play for a head coach who had a national championship and 2 SEC titles under his belt. Those were two of the most pathetic recruiting efforts I've ever seen. Dooley just doesnt have a resume like that to sell to recruits.

Pat had to get stitches today on his finger. per TSS

I don't know if that keeps him from participating at camp.

Stitches? No. Although it would depend on how many stitches and how bad the injury was. If it's routine, high doubtful it would keep him about.

Sucks for Pat. He was in the running for recruiter of the year. But now CDD, CJC, CLT, etc. will get all the credit for Pat's recruits if there are any commits this week.

I don't like posting negative things but I was told by a Clemson fan he did not do well at their camp TFWIW. I told him just another top talent in SC that they are missing out on again.

Yeah, I'm not really sold on Clemson's staff. Every year they are suppose to compete for a championship and always seem to blow it.

Yeah man the Clemson fans are killing me. Guy I work with said Pat did not impress the Clemson coaches and I just laughed at him. I said then why has UT, UCLA, Oklahoma, LSU etc... offer? I swear Clemson fans are becoming more and more like Barn fans. This fan claims Rome, Townsend, Sammy Watkins, and AJ Johnson are all locks. Talking about drinking some Kool Aid.
