Ugh. On Antonio's Formspring (not facebook, people ask anonymous questions, he answers), someone said "If you don't go to the Vols, please don't go to the Tide." He answered, "can't promise that!!!"

He's keeping his cards close. I'll check back on him in February.

But Pat Martin is the man. Love that guy. He's like the Corey Miller/Jacques Smith of this class (except he's not in this class yet)

It's one thing to check on a dude on his facebook, or whatever is popular these days, but I wish like hell people would leave the recruits alone. there is no need to be asking them crap, it looks creepy IMO.

I'm not bashing this kid by any means so I need to ask if anyone thinks that he is holding off on comitting because he wants to be assured that others will follow him to UT. If he does end up comitting and then most if not all of the kids he is recruiting do not follow, will he de-commit? Just thought I would ask for some opinions.

There's a possibility, of course, but I think he has genuine interest in UT. He obviously thinks its the right place for him, at least, or he wouldn't be attempting to get other guys in the first place. You don't just pick a school/program because there is room for you and your buddies to step in right away. Never seen that before.

At face value, I think he really likes UT and the coaches and where we're heading. His willingness to help unofficially recruit other guys for us is a huge plus. JMO.

On the facebook thing, I'm OK with some fans posting on their sites and wishing them luck, hoping they enjoyed a visit, rave about UT (in a non-forcible manner or implying they should come to UT), etc. However, posting on their sites about where they should attend college, or where not to go is pretty much rude and disrespectful. I'm with VolBall777 on this one. It's their decision, not yours, and it is a life-changing decision at that. Be supportive, don't be a nuisance.

I don't believe so. If he does commit I think he will be in it for the long haul. He feels comfortable with the coaches and his mother loves Tennessee, so I don't see it happening. It is college recruiting so anything could happen between the day he commits to NSD.

This. It is exactly what formspring is. He even invited everyone to do it on his facebook page. That being said, I never try to convince a player of where to go. Good luck, like your status, and maybe a little chit char if they are open

Apparently he is back from USC's camp. He hasn't posted anything on Facebook so it must not have been that great.
