I guess we'll know then for sure...If he isn't a Vol, this board goes into meltdown mode. I mean once you start throwing the V,B, it's pretty much a done deal imo. I hope he still has the drive to be a Vol.

You think so? I guess I could see that as the case. He probably wants his announcement to mean something instead of him being written off as a vol. I sure hope so.

I dunno. Making the announcement at his high school--in cock country--is going to cause some ill will if he doesn't commit to USCe. Not sure he is the lock that we hope he is.

So I guess my post got deleted? There is a article on Rivals stating he has now evened his two school to Tennessee and South Carolina.

Greenville isn't USCe country. It isn't far from Clemson.

Most Clemson fans are happy whenever SoCar doesn't get something good.

he visited once either in late May or early June, but that was before his first visit to UT. he was supposed to go back there for camp but didn't.

he's been to UT twice since his only USCjr visit.

Let me also say that Martin enjoys the recruiting process very much. I don't put a great deal of stock into him saying things are even, but I do think he may be unsure of what he wants to do. When I "report" that he's back to even, that's because I'm quoting him.

I know ppl will boo hoo me & say I only care about stars, but we gotta get Pat Martin. We gotta get a S/DB due to Myles Jr's screw up. In addition, we've got to get some top flight talent...a 4* for god's sake! It just sets a better tone. Recruits see a top guy commit, & they start to look harder. What top 10 at any position guy wants to join a recruiting class full of 3*'s?

I know that probably a few, & hopefully more than a few of our 3*'s will be upgraded to 4* by the end of it all, but I'm just saying...you know...just saying...

I have never seen him post or comment anything positive on South Carolina on his FB. On the contrary.

1. His FB profile pic has been him in a TN jersey at least twice.
2. He has "liked" many pro-UT comments directed at him.
3. He said Bennie Wylie was going to "help him develop".
4. He got into an argument with an e-thug about TN and how Dooley was going to win championships.

I could go on but I don't think it is really necessary.
