No, I have no idea about the other QB, except his stats someone else put in a thread here. I'm a college football fan who follows national recruiting closely year round. This isn't the first time i've seen a little puffing, happens all the time. So when I see a kid no one here has ever heard of and just a random fan starts writing very particular info about that player incl. height weight and a picitre, yea I become suspicious; it's not what normal fans posts in threads.

Mike Wegzyn is a must get. he has a freak arm. he was throwing the football like it was a baseball. to have this type of gem land in knoxville is amazing, chaney and lance thompson need to camp outside of his high school hahaa. they wont have to drive far! GBO and if we sign him it will help us lock up the rest of our top talent in tennessee. pleaaase oh pleaaase i hope the good people of knox catholic show him a good time for his senior year!!! lets keep him in knoxville!!!!!

Forgive me for the cynicism, but his throwing motion looks terrible. He's a project, IMO.

I respectfully disagree! He has Okay athletic ability and a big arm. That alone could get him big east, or acc scholarships. Don't get me wrong i'm not saying he is the next peyton but I believe he will land in a d-1 school.

Welcome to VolNation! You are definitely from Michigan. TN fans post entire rosters in threads! Sorry you lost the starting job to Wegzyn. He is a TN boy now and Vol fans support our home town boys. Cant wait for spring ball to see what he's got. Knoxville would love to have us a big ole QB to get excited about.

Alright ive played football with mike for 2 years so i know what he is capable of doing and how he can punish a defense. no one has the right to slam him because u dont know everything abt him. He is a smart Qb out on the field he knows where he should place the ball and is great at reading defenses. Mike would have had an amazing yr if his o line was better. Tennessee should definilty recruit mike. I know from first hand experience on mikes game

I would have liked to see more than 1 long ball thrown too, I think I saw a dozen 10-yard hook routes to the left side.
Overall he looks like a decent prospect.

I'm sure Chaney will hear about this kid. If he gets an offer, we know he's legit. If Chaney drags his feet, then I think that answers the question of whether this kid can handle the SEC...

TN already offered a QB in the 2011 class. No offer will come from TN while they still have an offer on the table to someone else.

Sorry to disappoint, but never stepped foot in Michigan and have no idea where Northview is, this kids hometown. Based on many comments here, others agree with both you and I so I guess we'll see in due time if this kid has it. That's why I love recruiting and NFL Draft -big names can make it, can flop and lesser knowns can surprise.

TOS has an article on Wegzyn on their front page 2-18-2010. For a kid with no talent, he is getting plenty of press. Seems newsworthy to me. Says TN is in regular contact with him. I hope we sign this backyard boy!

I have to agree with previous posters on this kid. If Chaney sees anything in this kid, he will jump on it.
