I don't hate Mahoney but I question who decided it was in our best interest to start 2 true freshman, one a DL convert. If that decision came from above Mahoney then I realistically have some empathy for him. If it was him though I question the reasons.

Would not be shocked to see all the staff get a raise except for Mahoney. Maybe send him a little message. Of course if CBJ decided to replace him, I would not lose any sleep over it.

Has CBJ followed Victor on twitter yet? Clock is ticking.

This is wishful thinking IMO.

Kerbyson, Crowder and Jackson are in their 4th year in the program with the last 2 having the same system and OL coach. They've already completed their improvement curve of several years in a college S&G program. Next year should be more of what we witnessed from those 3 this season.

It is realistic to expect Roberson and Thomas to improve over the next 2 seasons as they mature physically.

Would this unit be improved with a really good LT - sure. They would also be improved with a really good LG, C, RG, and RT. None of the existing guys were even SEC average.

This unit needs a lot more than just a LT and if it doesn't get addressed in the next 8 months then 2015 will be very disappointing. As we all witnessed in 2014, there's no way to hide or scheme around an awful OL.

I think everyone has to be evaluated yearly, Mahoney has been with Butch for several years, has a history of producing solid Olinemen, some even being drafted early in the NFL draft, also had last year where the Oline blocked for more rushing yards than any oline in the past 15 yrs.

I do think if we don't see some progress that it will be a problem but IDK. We complain about loyalty to assistants being a problem but these guys are spending 12 to 16 hrs a day everyday around each other and each other's family; they are practically family. Mahoney has been with Butch since Central Michigan.
