'12 GA RB Imani Cross (Nebraska Commit)

Kid just transferred to North Hall from Flowery Branch (where Connor Shaw played), which is why he's got a USCjr offer right now. One to watch for...

Nice catch.
Thanks for the thread! :hi:

lol I forgot I even started this. It shouldn't surprise anyone that he's not going to UGA. They have been neglecting Hall County for quite some time now. Last guy to go to UGA...Chase Vasser maybe? 3 star LB.

This kid is all about his orange. Sounds like a great kid. We need a big back like this guy. I liked that he worked out with Jamal Lewis' older brother for rehabbing his Achilles injury.

Exactly, an RB of this stature, speed, and athleticism---6'1" 220 4.53 40---Tennessee has long been in need. Great addition to Lane, Neal, Smith, & Williams.
Plus, Keith Marshall has expressed increased interest in Tennessee.
The 2012 class could really become something special!!!

Truly excited with this RB corp. Would like to see Kimbrow and one more---Bryan, Gray, Harris, Marshall, Shell, OR Yeldon---signed.
*Gray is a long shot, probably will sign w/ either Texas & TT, but worth wanting nonetheless. :wink2:

A lot of people will say G.Jones but he's not good at that. Dallas should be that guy. Even Dooley said he's got some wiggle to him. I think he's the dark horse for that slot spot. He only trails Arnett in the route running department. Maybe the hands to an extent but Dallas has good hands. And he's faster. Going to be a war for that spot in the slot.

Agreed. Wouldn't be surprised to see Z. Rogers open at slot w/ Arnett and Dallas rotating at #2 until they get the playbook down.
Inside / outside threat looking up for the Vols.

Dallas being an EE my give him a leg up on the competition. I want to see what the staff does with him in the O&W game. Going to take my son this year and hopefully make it a tradition that he'll remember when he gets older.

Really, I was just trash talking at Bama a little, but I should have qualified the statement so some of you guys didn't go off the deep end. Saban is typically barely involved in these guys recruitments anyway, really just Trent before Barry, so you could even go the other way and say that Bama can't land the big fish RB without Saban getting involved. Regardless, Sanders will still be a Cowboy next year.

Fair enough.

Wow! No matter what happens football wise with him, I totally respect him. He was so mature and made it a point to say he was blessed. Many athletes do not give God the credit, it's all about them. Glad to have you Cross! GBO

Marshall will most likely end up at UGA, even with Crowell, unless Richt is gone. Even if he doesn't, he won't be in Knoxville, I'm positive of that. He simply got an offer from UT, but there is no indication of "increased interest", unless you mean going from no interest to "they exist", or even any real interest in the Vols from him at all.

Careful. Shouldn't say words like positive, or guarantee, as they tend to make one look foolish.

Ah, but there is, in an (Feb 25) interview with VQ's AP, KM stated as much.

Youre joking right?

That is true. Crazier things have happened in recruiting, certainly. Let me rephrase to, as things stand now, I feel the chances of Marshall going to UT are less than 5%.

I see that about Marshall's interest now, but still think he was mostly just saying nice things. That is what I want to read into though, so I guess we will see.

Cross is a really good kid and comes from a great family...Tim and Donna are great parents and will be a good addition to the UT family. I know his brother Izzan at GT is proud of him.

Also he is currently recruiting some guys out of Buford and Atlanta right now to follow him to UT.

Per TSS Imani will be preaching at Lakewood Baptist Church tomorrow night on Matt 7:13. Great kid.

Nice interview. Dooley definitely landed another quality individual who happens to be good at football.

Dang this guy did a good job in that interview. I was impressed listening to him talk. It's not easy getting interviewed live on air. I loved when he was talking about the color Orange. He definitely speaks well and seems like he would be a great fit for what Dooley is trying to do.
