Patterson has taken a visit to a couple of schools that have offered him and he enjoyed each trip.

"At Tennessee, it seemed like a good place and I liked it up there. It looks like I could play early there and I like that."

"I went to Georgia last week and I liked it there too. Athens is a cool place, the coaches showed me a lot of attention, and all the facilities were very nice."

Patterson says he is in no rush to make a decision, he will probably decide right before he enrolls somewhere.

I dunno if he can hold them off. I am kinda leaning towards Arnett being the starting slot guy in the fall, but Dallas is there for now. Who knows. Both of them can play. Our WRs are gonna be fun to watch the next few years.

Patterson is an elite talent and will see immediate playing time wherever he goes imo.

With TE being an area of concern right now, what's the possiblity of seeing some 4 WR sets if Arnett and Dallas are both as good as advertised (and assuming JH and DR are playing solid in the 1 and 2 spots)....???

waiting on his grades and making sur ehe has the "SEC" math class taken care of...they offer b4 and he didn't make it in.

This was on espn.com a few days ago ...

A familiar name
Atlanta Carver coach Darren Myles, Sr. was in attendance of the Atlanta UA combine. If the name sounds familiar his son Darren Myles, Jr. signed with Tennessee in the Class of 2009. Last summer he left the Volunteers and enrolled at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. Once again Myles will go through the recruiting process.

"Ole Miss and Kentucky have offered him and so have some other schools," Myles said. "He had a good season. He left Tennessee in June and enrolled the day before school started. He made first team all-region and he will go through the process once again."

Myles, now 6-2 and 200 pounds, was an ESPNU 150 member (No. 38 overall) and the No. 5 ranked safety in the country in 2009.

Jamie Newberg has been covering recruiting in the Southeast and nationally for 19 years. He can be reached at jamienewbergbw@yahoo.com.

"left Tennessee"

That's convenient.

LOL, dude that's what I was thinking. Nevermind the 2 arrests in 4 months resulting in Tennessee's name being smeared all over ESPN, or that he got ran down by KPD from behind. Guess poor Darren was the victim.
