As I stated a couple weeks ago...if this kid was of the darker variety, he would be a HUGE get to most complaining. His size and speed translates to a quality player.

And that's the best you could respond with. Oh well.

We're going to have to do better. I'll wait to see where we end up on signing day, but you can't afford off classes in the Sec. It's happened to us several times recently and our program went down the toilet. As Dooley said last night, the strong survive in the Sec.

We also lead for 2 5* players right now.

I just have to laugh at people like you who are freaking our right now. This week has been great. Got a QB who's stock is on the rise, a backup for Fugate, one LB was some potential down the road and one LB that will contribute next year, a WR who will play next year, and a DE that will also play in 2012. Plus, the vast majority of our remaining prospects are big name recruits. And we are falling behind, or this is an off class? haha. I was hesitant about us landing a top 15 class, but right now, it certainly is looking very realistic.

claiming we are "beating out Vandy" just because they have offered is crazy

The teams we've outrecruited for our current commits are mostly mid to lower level programs. It's the truth....Peters for example, who I think will be a solid player, begged for an LSU offer which he didn't get. I sincerely hope Dooleys way is the right way.

Seems Vandy is the level of program we're beating for prospects these days....

from what ive heard vandy has sent out roughly 500-600 offers this year to kids all over the country just hoping to generate some interest. with that said, vandy is losing out on alot of recruits.

I don't mind the pickup. If Frank Beamer thinks the kid can play, then hey, that's a pretty good set of eyes.

My one problem is numbers: While I didn't really like the pickup last year, I got why we took Devrin Young. We were going to use all the schollies. It's okay to use one or two on a project (Carson being the other).

But, what, we have 21 spots this year? I don't know if we can afford any projects.

Oh well, let's see what happens.

He is just trying to mess with our fans which the majority have the mental stability of a 13 year old girl when it comes to recruiting. One day they are on cloud 9 and the next they are on suicide watch.

no. i am not trying to mess with anyone. i am relating what i heard which is exactly why i posted what i did.

you have people who are fairly certain he is going to tennessee. i have now heard from reliable gator people that they are fairly certain he is going to florida.

thus, the statement......either florida or tennessee is going to be really confused on the 5th.

i, personnally, have no clue what the hell is going to happen.

Peters wasn't offered bc of numbers, not talent. The state is loaded this year and for whatever reason LSU had a couple of guys ahead of him. Nebraska and A&M both want him very badly.

The poor coaching that happened between 2001 and 2008 wouldn't have anything to do with it, would it?

dont be suprised if we sign 25 this year. also, dooley will most likey take atleast 1 local kid every year.

I like he's got the Hardestyesk spin move at about 3:58 of video. Put some weight on him and he'll be great back, return specialist, safety. Very many options with this kid and he's quick with good vision, uses blockers well and uses good angles. JMO

does that mean some may lose a scholarship that are currently on scholarship? I remember at media days yesterday he answered a question about Mike Slive and his comments on multi-year guaranteed scholarships and he said it should be just like an academic scholarship that you can lose after a year if you don't keep your end of the deal. I say this because some have said we will only take 18-22 but that must means he expects to lose a few or maybe early draft entrees. I'm sure this will be Jackson's last year here but was just wondering. Thanks for all the info

dont be suprised if a few of the current players are not with us at the end of the year, plus you may see a greyshirt or 2.
