I trust the staff. The staff likes this kid. So do I. The staff wants to move him around a little and see where he fits, I'm fine with that.

They have more football knowledge between all of them, then I have in my pinky. Dooley knows every player he takes can make or break his class. He's not going to take someone who won't work out somewhere. He's keeping Blanc for a reason, and we only see the 2*, but they don't even care about that.

I hope he succeeds. I love the players like Devrin Young who everyone doubts.

Metaphor fail.

I think if just about any other current commit gets cut before Blanc (possible exception: Watson), the staff should take a long look in the mirror.

Chris Johnsomn, Mark Ingram, Marcus Drew Jones...all were 2 stars.

This young man has the potential to be a stud. Let's give him a shot.

Rivals doesn't exactly have the star rating down to perfection. While they are getting better, there were several people wrong about our 07 through 09 class.
According to Rivals, Mark Ingram and Maurice Jones Drew were 4 stars.

Fail.

He said he's starting out at safety but they may look at him on the offensive side of the ball due to his athleticism. People can stop freaking out now.

The most recent article I read said that Hinshaw said he would be starting out with him at WR.

If volnation was giving out scholarships, there would be a lot of walk-ons in this thread.

blanc said he doesn’t believe his discussions with hinshaw will change the primary position he ends up playing.

“it’s been safety for the longest,” blanc said. “i’m still probably going to start out at safety, but just as versatile as i am, they’re just going to try to play me in as many spots as they can. I don’t have a problem with that.

A lot of people are going to either their words on this kid.

The coaches love him.

And didn't evaluate him based on film or state talent, it was on up close and personal camps going against some of the best talent in the country - where he consistently outperformed his competition and expectations.

This x 1000

Plus, his size and speed have the base for a very good safety.

Yep,

6'1 with 4.5 speed is very good for strong safety position. The kid will put on weight. People who point out weight every time obviously doesn't know what a D-1 strength and conditioning regiment does to a young man.

I'm really excited about Blanc personally. I think CDD and Frank Beamer know more about evaluating talents than the rivals bozos do.

He's a local boy who bleeds orange. Speed kills, folks.

Yeah, right after they stop at the drive thru at Mickey D's and grab a bit to either. :p

How is his last name pronounced? Is it Blank or "Blanc" like a French pronounciation?

I can't look at the word "blanc" and pronounce it "blank". Have too much experience with the French language. He'll forever be Cody "blonk" to me.

Same with Jeff Luc....drives me crazy that people pronounce it "luck" instead of "luke".
