He's a little quicker than 4.5. Consistently timed at 4.40-4.45 and could get faster with the S&C program. Will definitely get stronger. Intelligent and will give his all for Tennessee every day. Amazing to me how some posters think he is too small or too slow when we had starting secondary in at least 3 positions this season that were smaller and slower. Racist IMO.

I think the kid makes for a great Saftey early on. As for him playing WR, alot of guys just make plays. He may not be the best athlete, the biggest guy, or have all the stars. Some kids just get it done. A WR can be effective if he makes the catch, runs good routes and he and the QB have good communication.

1 or 2 gambles per class doesn't seem like a bad idea. He's almost the identical body of Randall Cobb (2" taller, 10lbs heavier), same speed as well. Cobb was a low 3* and had a small offer list, and look how he turned out. Not saying Blanc will turn out the same, but assuming he's going to be horrible just because Rivals only gave him 2* (and more likely because he's white) is ignorant.

And didn't evaluate him based on film or state talent, it was on up close and personal camps going against some of the best talent in the country - where he consistently outperformed his competition and expectations.

I could be wrong, but I believe Croom was one of those he covered like a blanket. If it wasn't Croom, it was some other big name receiver.

Blanc was evaluated 3 times by our staff and then offered. Apparently they like him and we will have to take a wait and see approach on it. All this back and forth is garbage.

I believe you are correct. He generated some serious hype in a couple camps because he was playing so well against the nations best but people had no idea who the heck he was.

I am looking forward to listening to the haters' excuses after Blanc makes a few "did you see that!" plays in the near future.
