I would honestly be shocked if he chose Memphis. Their boards have not even mentioned him as a possibility. They were all calling Ole Miss or UT.

They could be trying to build some drama.

Something obviously changed...

Last week his coach said he really liked TN and UGA. Their were rumors he was ready to commit to Ole Miss..... Now everyone is screaming Memphis....

Did several schools back off? Maybe it has to do with Memphis letting him play RB?

I have always thought it was funny when these kids have hats on the table of teams..they could not commit to. I guess it makes them feel better or look better for having the big time teams as possibilities. I'm waiting to see a kid have like 120 hats on a huge table.....and then pick UTC. :eek:lol:

Well for a school like Memphis, you want as many good hats as possible... bc to the ordinary fan (masses) it will seem like Porter whipped the big boys in recruiting. Just like when Gross picked Memphis over Bama and TN last week.

Dawson looks like a better prospect from what I watched. Especially on defense. I didn't really like Dawson a lot on offense personally. He's really just fast and cuts well. He could be a very very good CB at the next level though. I really wanted him in the orange. Blanc taking his ship is a disappointment. But oh well on to the next one if this is true.

I think Memphis will give him (or at least tell him) that he will get a shot to play RB. Something has obviously caused Ole Miss, UGA, etc to back off in a hurry. I would be fine at this point to get Redmond and be done in Memphis (unless we get in with Hill later)

Gross is 100% Tiger per his most recent interview. He's obviously helping recruit some more local talent as well.
