'12 TN ATH Will Redmond (MSU verbal commit)

SIAP but Redmond will be here to compete in camp this week per Hubbs. Recent article from scout said unc was the leader so hopefully we can change that

Hearing Memphis East ATH Will Redmond won’t attend #Dawg Nite at #UGA because he has a pulled groin. Hoped to earn offer there-Keith Niebuhr

He's been hurt since spring because he won't stay off of it. He's about to jeopardize time this season if he don't get it healed. Hustling for offers also has its downside.

He isn't going to make it to camp. (groin)

Has he not went to several camps to compete of late with the groin injury? I thought I read where he was fighting through it and was performing well. I know the staff wanted him to come in and run the 40...could this be why he gave a 2 week window in which he wanted to commit and it is now beyond that timeframe I think? Maybe he will spend a few weeks getting healthy and then come in and run. Maybe he is planning on going elsewhere and feels there is no reason to come to camp and do it.

I think you hit the nail on the head with the first part. I believe he wants to be a Vol. He's now past the 2-week timetable on his decision (which so happened to end after our camp, where he was scheduled to be), and he's not coming to camp. I honestly think he's getting healthy before he runs in front of our coaches. At that point, his offer would become committable and he would join the Big Orange.

Scratch my last post. Redmond isn't coming to Knoxville, but will still visit Mississippi State this weekend.

So instead of coming to UT and running the 40 to get a commitable offer....he is going to Miss St? Hmmm

yea...but based on everything I have heard...UNC is leading...and he isn't likely to shut it down just yet...i think he is waiting to see what the NCAA does with them.

The VQ staff have said for over a week they like where we are w/ Redmond, let's see if that changes.
