The morons running UPS apparently are the gift that keeps on giving.

The UAW's top wage is $32.32 per hour after two 3% wage increases since 2019. The union's proposal would bring that to $47.14, nearing the $49 per hour average top rate recently achieved in a tentative agreement by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters with United Parcel Service Inc.

who is next?
we are going to be in a wage/COL death cycle

It’s eventually going to become self correcting once they’ve run enough manufacturing out of the country.

Apparently trucks/suvs are still selling like hotcakes even though they are way over priced. IDK where the breakpoint is, I thought $75/80k for a pickup would be it and I was way off.

It’s already beyond my breaking point and I could actually afford a $75k pickup if I wanted to pay it. Morons with no basic time value of money or accounting knowledge are ruining their lives. It’s like all the idiots paying $150k for an idiotic wake boat.

My 2012 F250 might be my last new vehicle.

Spent $60k+ each for 3 new work trucks and that killed me to do that. NFW will I pay 60 grand for a vehicle that doesn't make me money, my 2015 3500 just might be my last personal truck I buy.

quality sucks as well
think of all those idiots making all those parts everywhere
A coworker of mine got an order from Kimberly Clark a few years ago for 750K for 3 large blowers
They came in with different parts like sheaves and belts, etc, 2 of them failed in year 1.
Bye bye KC..millions of lost potential revenue nationwide

Most wage workers in America are grossly underpaid--and of course, that was the reason unions were first started, terrible pay along with long hours, little vacation, no benefits, dangerous jobs, etc. American companies have a rich history of not wanting to pay people. The Wal-Mart Waltons are became billionaires on the backs of employees making little money and lousy benefits. All retail employees are underpaid; management would rather deal with high turnover than pay more to keep employees, and they can dumb the endless hiring and paperwork that goes with it on lower- and middle-managers.

And we all know why a lot of multinationals have opened plants in the South.
