Maybe Hubbs was right and UT hasn't been in it much since Pittman wasn't retained. And Koehler was just talking UT up to Rivals for drama. Guess we'll find out this weekend.

Morris had the task of taking on guys like Herron, Allen and others all day and held his own overall despite getting beaten at times in the afternoon. He uses his long arms effectively, moved his feet consistently and engaged with aggressiveness for the most part. The tackles for the East squad have had their hands full so far and Morris has held his own.

He's an in-state kid that's rated high at a position we neglected last class. If Butch is serious about locking up the state grabbing Morris to go along with JRM, Sanders, and Carr is a must.

I really want him and Chongo on the team. I am ok if we lose Skipper then. We end up with 5 solid Oline at that point and all 5 have a year in the weight room before they play.

I think that is a silly thing to say. Coach Jones could stand outside his window with a boom box or grovel at his feet but its a two way street if the guy don't want to come to Tennessee then there is nothing CBJ or anyone else can do to change that.

Agreed. This whole "owning the state" thing started with flipping Foreman, and now has progressed to getting Morris. I'm sure we are going after Ramsey too, but that is far-fetched.

Morris isn't Ramsey or Herron. I think if our last staff had paid him any attention he would already be a Vol. It is within CBJ' s means to make him a Vol, he just needs to decide if he wants him first.

Yea and DD made everyone mad too. When TN high coaches are recruiting against you it doesn't help. CBJ has to repair those wounds as well

All this staff has to do is show interest and apologize for the last staff and he will be a VOL he just needs a reason to be.

I would love to see it happen. Honestly, I would have liked to seen CBJ and company visit him and extend the offer prior to the game today. Him flipping to us on national TV would have been some much needed positive Tennessee vibe going into NSD.

Fortenberry is going to put a write up about. Morris with an update today or tomorrow. While he didn't leak what the write up will contain, he did seem to infer it would be good news.
