'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

Guys its been real, didnt mean to get anyones blood pressure up I still work in Knoxville like I have since the early 80's, so i'm going to bow out, but I have followed UT's sports just as much as Michigans.
I wish you luck in your rebuilding, I feel your pain we went thru the same thing
Good luck on the rest of your recruits.

If you are going to count beating Meyer with different recruits and a different coach do we get to brag about a game against Michigan 11 years ago?

Congrats on the pick up. Wish D. Green well as he seems like a good kid. But most of us can tell you with Fulmer's recruiting classes, winning the recruiting 'National Title' doesn't always translate on the field.

the man asked to compare 2013 classes didn't he? i just answered him. as far as the game 11 years ago, feel free. it is what it is.

Went? To me, Michigan is still very much "rebuilding".

Good luck to this kid. For those of you who are wishing ill on this 18 year old for picking a different school then please go punch yourself repeatedly in the sac so there is no chance you'll produce offspring as ignorant as you are.

But you referenced a game that happened in a 2008 bowl with a different coach and different players making the 1-1 against Meyer comment pointless. Kinda like UT beating UM 11 years ago. It's fun for smack talk and makes a fanbase feel good but means nothing in the current state of a program.

agreed.

You have to admit its a little funny that if this kid is rated the best RB in the country and seems to know it, then why did he run from the SEC and go to a struggling conference? Maybe scared he wouldn't live up to the billing? Oh well.

I think it was more of a coaching stability issue more than anything.

Not at all. Kid will put up great numbers in the BIG10. You don't have to go to the SEC to accomplish an NFL dream. IMO, it may be even easier to do so in the BIG10.

how many michigan rb's can you think of in the nfl.
off the top of my head would be mike hart, real good at michigan but didn't do much
in the league.

I think adults are capable of deciding on whether or not to engage in a conversation on a currently unsigned prospect. Kids are recruited and lost all the time. No need to take it personally.
