I Love #Tennessee, But I Won't Be Able To Make It Tomorrow But Ill Definitely Visit Soon! #RISETOROCKYTOP #RiseToTheTop #RockyTop
It has always amazed me how kids in the South, especially FL, like/choose OSU or say its their dream school. Ohio is one of the most hideous states I've seen, I'm sure the campus is subpar, the weather starts turning miserable halfway through the season and the last time they won a NC these kids were 6. I just don't see the appeal myself.
How is this guy rated ahead of Truitt?? They are very similiar type players and project similarly but you watch the two and there is absolutely no comparison as to who the better talent is. Truitt has better elusiveness, explosion, a better frame (he'll be less injury prone in college IMO). What am I missing here? It's not that I think Autry is a bad prospect but good grief. Is it the fact that he's from Norcross thus is getting more publicity at this point?
I bet it is that way with these recruiting services as well. Having the rep of producing D1 talent like Norcross does is great and all but it probably helps some of the borderling 3/4 star types get their ratings inflated a bit.
I was saying in reference to the Croom connection and Norcross. We get spun into this irrational cycle of thinking that school is a pipeline to us and prospects from there are more likely to go there because Croom did.

I'm with you. I just do not get the appeal of Ohio State for kids not from Ohio. Teams always strike me as slow and methodical, Ohio is kinda nasty with bad weather, uniforms are hideous (most kids seem to think how cool unis are is important), play in a bad conference, routinely get their asses handed to them in bowl games (when they're actually eligible).
I can see the appeal of other schools so I'm not saying UT is the only school worth going to.... just don't see the appeal of OSU. Somebody help me...what am I missing?
