'14 GA ATH Myles Autry

Someone in another thread said Autry and Kitt were going to Ohio State this weekend. Can anyone confirm this?

I Love #Tennessee, But I Won't Be Able To Make It Tomorrow But Ill Definitely Visit Soon! #RISETOROCKYTOP #RiseToTheTop #RockyTop

We need bricks stronger than those that listen to Urbie Cryers. Who really believes that he was wanting to spend time with family...vs. get the heck out of Dodge while the getting was good? :)

Autry tweeted that he was staying home, so if they end up at OSU this weekend, draw your own conclusions.

I am 99.999% sure that neither of them are/were at OSU this weekend.

Absolutely nothing has been said about that on any OSU site. Also kitt was just in Columbus like a week ago. I highly doubt he foots the bill to go back so soon.

Why not just say 100%?

Why not just say 100%?

I guess I could, I just assume that there is some crazy chance that they could have visited with absolutely no one knowing about it.

I am typically not one of those "100% lock" or "completely impossible" guys.

Just giving some feedback based on what I have read. TIFWIW.

One of the top athletes in the Peach State is*Myles Autry*and the Scout 300 playmaker is coming off knee surgery, so he will miss the spring. He will participate some in the Norcross 7v7 this summer, and he is ahead of schedule at this time when talking rehab. Ohio State is his "dream" school and he enjoyed his visit to Columbus earlier this month. He has family ties to*Georgia Tech*and they are in it too. He calls it "too early" to name leaders right now, so he claims to be open. He will hit the road some this summer.

It has always amazed me how kids in the South, especially FL, like/choose OSU or say its their dream school. Ohio is one of the most hideous states I've seen, I'm sure the campus is subpar, the weather starts turning miserable halfway through the season and the last time they won a NC these kids were 6. I just don't see the appeal myself.

How is this guy rated ahead of Truitt?? They are very similiar type players and project similarly but you watch the two and there is absolutely no comparison as to who the better talent is. Truitt has better elusiveness, explosion, a better frame (he'll be less injury prone in college IMO). What am I missing here? It's not that I think Autry is a bad prospect but good grief. Is it the fact that he's from Norcross thus is getting more publicity at this point?

On this board, YES, unfortunately.

I bet it is that way with these recruiting services as well. Having the rep of producing D1 talent like Norcross does is great and all but it probably helps some of the borderling 3/4 star types get their ratings inflated a bit.

I was saying in reference to the Croom connection and Norcross. We get spun into this irrational cycle of thinking that school is a pipeline to us and prospects from there are more likely to go there because Croom did.

LOL So true. Why anyone would assume that is beyond me. Norcross sends guys to schools all over the south.

I'm with you. I just do not get the appeal of Ohio State for kids not from Ohio. Teams always strike me as slow and methodical, Ohio is kinda nasty with bad weather, uniforms are hideous (most kids seem to think how cool unis are is important), play in a bad conference, routinely get their asses handed to them in bowl games (when they're actually eligible).

I can see the appeal of other schools so I'm not saying UT is the only school worth going to.... just don't see the appeal of OSU. Somebody help me...what am I missing?

A lot kids like their uniforms and colors.. Nike puts out some really cool stuff for them, and they have good looking alternative uni's that are different. they also get a ton of publicity on Espn for some reason.. They play an easy schedule, so I guess if u want to play cupcakes, u go there instead of the SEC.

I'd say the biggest thing now is that they have a proven winner as head coach at his dream school.. He can negative recruit the SEC, because he's coached against us for years.
