I hope they do. We have got a few good defensive commitments. It just looks like we are doing a lot better on offense vs defense.

I'm a really big fan of Powell, I always wanted him but thought he would be a tiger. I like runners like him, ones that cut violently and look like they're darting around. I just think if Truitt were this freak athlete that they would've told Powell to hold off, either that or Powell just totally owned the camp, which is also possible.

Just read where Powell said he is done and shutting it down with no more visits. Truitt was not ready to do that. I believe this staff is taking commitments only if they are ready to stop at least official visits.

Disagree. He's explosively fast but nowhere close to other guys technically.

Would love to have Truitt in this class but he has waited and a comparable athlete and a better football player jumped aboard.

Maybe things work out for us & Truitt, but we are clearly on the top of our recruiting game.
For once, we are landing enough elite talwnt where we can tell someone like Truitt to either get on board or get left at the station.

The way recruiting is going, I think we have to trust what CBJ and company are doing. Maybe filling up early is they way they do things. If they don't plan on waiting till NSD for kids to let things play out, I say it is what it is. I'm sure they are letting the kids know how they do things and what they expect. Not all coaches follow a set way of doing things. So far, it seems to be working for this staff.

If truitt is out, count Wes green out. They stated they'll go to the same college. I don't know about y'all but I'd take truitt and green duo over Powell and lammons duo. Jmo. Guess the coaches are really worried about securing this class before the lackluster season.

Green already named South Carolina his leader this weekend and is announcing on July 1--Green was already counted out.

Is it impossible that Powell and Lammons are just better players and our coaches would rather spend their time recruiting them regardless of their ratings?

Personally I don't project all players as first year contributors at every position. I see Truitt's potential at CB very high after a year of refining his skills. I also think he's a much better prospect than Powell on offense but oh well the coaches have made their decision time to roll on.
