14' GA ATH Stanton Truitt

If truitt is out, count Wes green out. They stated they'll go to the same college. I don't know about y'all but I'd take truitt and green duo over Powell and lammons duo. Jmo. Guess the coaches are really worried about securing this class before the lackluster season.

Lammons is blowing up. Just as good a DB prospect as green or smith.

Truitt took too long to pull the trigger. It will be hard to see him as part of this class, now. -Paul Fortenberry, VolQuest.com.

If BP's 40 is a legitimate 4.4 with plans to get it down around 4.3 then he is just as fast as Truitt. If Truitt wasn't ready and lost his spot then maybe others that are on the fence will take notice and pull the trigger before the same thing happens to them.

Truitt has much better breakaway speed. IMO

Your last sentence is a little over the top. You sound like a true Vol fan. :salute::salute::salute:

Wouldn't breakaway speed really only be useful for when he gets an int? I'd much rather them be a little slower on their top end speed, but have higher agility and acceleration to stay with the WR they are covering. JMO though. I'm no coach and I never played.

Good info. I am an amateur at the recruiting scene. I appreciate the info from the more experienced posters. :hattip:

Yes the staff still wants him at DB after selling him hard in offense and breaking down how he would be used in the offense. Kentucky and Florida want him
On offense

So he would rather play on offense it looks like? More often than not, that's how it plays out with kids who carry/catch the ball. They want to play offense at the next level.

And who's to say he doesn't end up on O or returning kicks down the line anyway? I dont think there is any reason for him to sour on us

Well think about this? Acceleration + great top end speed makes for a special player. A quick player is average in the SEC. Everybody has those type of athletes. But guys like Percy Harvin, CP, Deanthony Thomas, and a few others can break off big plays where a guy that can't breakaway from a defense wouldn't. Think of it like this, certain guys may only get 15-20 yards out of play. Others if you give them space they won't stop running until they hit the endzone. You may as well strike up the band. :good!:

The way I see it is if L. Lee is thinking of decommitting, it only opens up a spot for Stanton to jump on board.

Ditto. I was going to post it in the Lee thread but figured I'd wait until he actually decomitted first.

This whole situation sucks donkey ass. One of my favorite players in this class. I'm feeling rod craytoned again

Or the staff knew Lee was on the fence with them planning on taking other WRs and took Powell knowing he could look elsewhere. I was hoping Lee would wait and at least talk to the staff before bouncing. Looks like he has made his decision to look around.

I do still hope Truitt can/wants to be a Vol.

What do you think the coaches are telling L. Lee?
