Anybody have some insight on this kid? Went from being a "forgone conclusion" committing at the O&W game to now putting together at Top 15 list. I understand the process, that he's young and all that. Not criticizing him at all, just wonder if anybody has some inside info on what has happened

Maybe all the offers going out to recruits(DB's) is going to have some questioning where they really stand with our Vols. Kid may still be 100% Vol and just wanting to play the game a little longer. Does seem strange that a delayed HS baseball game seems to have put up a roadblock. It could also be he was never close to committing and it was just more speculation like a lot of other things around the time of the O&W game.

I agree something happened, because sounds like he might be re-evaluating things. If we get Green or Smith/Gaulden then I won't worry as much if we lose him, but he is a great prospect.

Personally I think he's making a joke out of it and kinda mocking all these recruits who put out a huge number of favorites. No reason just how I see it. I mean he hasn't been one to play the recruiting game or list favs

Apparently McDowell has decided to wait until February to make a commitment.

"Syracuse is at the top and when I make a list of my top schools Syracuse will be at the top because they were the first team to offer me."

Right now he does not have a full list of favorites, but five schools are sticking out.

"The schools that are sticking out right now are Syracuse, Tennessee, Florida State, Ohio State, and Vanderbilt are sticking out the most to me right now."

As for a decision fans and coaches are going to have to wait this recruitment out.

"I have thought about it and I am going to try to wait all the way until February."

And to think, didn't he almost commit during the O&W game? Or so we were lead to believe. Either way, kid is a baller and would love to have him. Just hope he doesn't get left in the dust by the other DB we are in on in.

Well I would love for him to be apart of this class but if the coaching staff sees another prospect that is just as good and the youngin wants to commit then I hope they take him.
