So perhaps LSU gets the best LB in the class. Overall we have the best LB class. And yes I wanted Garrett real bad (no homo).

Alabama LB class might have something to say about that unfortunately and especially if they land Mcmillan.

(Not taking away from UTs class but Bama just keeps getting richer)

I wish Garrett well if he chooses LSU. He is an exceptional player and he will be working under an exceptional DC. However, if he goes that route he has to know in advance that he will get his azz kicked when our Vols meet up with them in the SECCG. He may want to think it through carefully.

I'm not sure if there's much to think through.

To me they are two very different type of LB prospects. CG to me is college ready right now and would likely start day #1 at Tennessee. Very physical and very instinctive and ready to play right now.

I know people keep saying MLB on Johnson but I also think he could be a hell of an OLB as well with his explosiveness and athleticism. I see a lot of Maggitt when he was in HS in him with simply more size and strength. He is a complete freak athletically and he'd be ridiculous coming off the edge in blitzing situations.

Want both, We need both. Size and speed at the linebacker position.

Jakob Johnson is more the blitzing sideline to sideline linebacker.

Clifton Garrett is your prototypical Middle Linebacker to stuff the run.

You never know... distance comes to mind when signing day approaches. We have had recruits turn around and go home when they are at the airport leaving home.
