'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Fellow Tiger, with all due respect, you are on a Vol board and now is the not the time for presenting arguments. My advice, let's just report what we learn from AU sites and keep a low profile. Emotions are volatile enough.

And THIS is why this gentleman is more than welcome here, IMO.

Other non-Vol members should take notice.

You sound like a very wise man. ...how are you an Auburn fan? :hi:

He still only had 1 year of real production. That was the whole 'draftnik' knock on him: didn't do much his first year at Auburn, left early after dominating for one season.

The point remains that Auburn loses nearly everyone on the DL by the time Lambert hits his SR season. Literally the only ones currently playing who will be present are the True Freshmen that Auburn plays: Lawson, Adams, and Daniel. That is why Auburn is recruiting so many JUCO linemen in this class.

Unless his plan is to be a one-and-done (which wouldn't be a smart plan anyway); the "playing time factor" isn't as big a deal in reality as you guys make it out to be.

He said it is a big deal. It's number one on the list of prorities. Do you really think your DL situation is more favorable than ours. Don't make me make a list. Ours is terrible right now and I know you know this. There is no comparison, it's not even close. So just stop.

But exposure doesn't get you into the NFL. Talent does. If he has NFL talent; then he will start at Auburn and get the same exposure. Maybe not in his first year; but by his draft-year at the least.

Auburn isn't filled 3-deep with future NFL 1st round picks.

If talent gets you in the NFL why am I not there? I didn't get the exposure that I needed in intramurals. Exposure is important

I am glad all the trolls come here to stir it up....beats the heck out of going to look for them.

They come here and then argue against the facts with speculations and assumptions. Get upset when we disagree.

Exposure and buzz make a huge difference in draft position. It's part of the reason why you see so many busts in early rounds and so many UFAs and lower round guys make an impact.

If you're jockeying for "Rival Poster of the Year", you've got my vote!

You had NFL talent?

Talent leads to exposure. Exposure never leads to talent; that is the difference. Lots of kids start multiple seasons worth of games in the SEC and never even sniff the NFL. Why not? They certainly had more than enough "exposure"?

If its auburn its clear lambert is a liar as he lied to the staff.

Lets hope he isn't a kid lacking of character

Without knowing the conversation between Lambert and Staff it is hard to question the character of an 18 year old by calling him a liar as you see it.

someone caused Most of this drama by stating what someone wants to hear to keep a job.

It's hard to argue at this point that our staff has been told he is a vol.

Let's hope that true. That's my point

Dude, your opinion is your opinion and that's great we get it! But your just not gonna win! Not here and not on any VOL board!

And you said it yourself, the guy needs 2 years not 1, like Fairley. You have more in your 3 deep than us. You continue to contradict yourself and make our point.
