'14 JUCO LB Chris Weatherd (UT Signee 2/5/14)

If Weatherd does get cleared I just don't think it is realistic to expect a lot out of him. He would just be arriving in August, he would need to get into football shape, learn the playbook & not to mention learn the LB position all in one month to be ready for the season. I could see him making more of an impact in the back half of the schedule. He will definitely help in 2015 though.

Unless he can't stick his finger in his ass, Chris will asked and needed to be a significant contributor on defense and also STs.

Translation for those who can't understand.

"Unless Chris just absolutely sucks or comes in way out of shape, he will be counted on for heavy minutes."

So sticking a finger up your bum is a sign of competence? What kind of English were you raised on.

I was just basing it off the old phrase.

For instance, I started a new job about a month ago. One of my trainers told me that he couldn't stick his finger up his butt for the first month that he worked there... Which means he sucked at his job, I would presume. That's all I meant by it. Didn't think it was that big of a deal. Little did I know....

Hope you're back to stay for a while. We need more posters like you.

If you plan on red Shirting a JuCo player there is no need to recruit him, just get a HS player

Agreed, that's why jucos should try to EE. We should keep it to EE jucos only. Williams and Blair showed up out of shape , and now they're in way better shape.

Disagree.
A Linebacker is a linebacker. Especially an up the field pass rushing type like Weatherd.

He could show up the day before camp and if he is physically ready there will be little holding him back play book wise.

When the talent is there, Pressuring the QB is the easiest transition from each level of football

Agreed. I think Weatherd will contribute from the rip as long as he's in shape. The talent is definitely there imo.
