Finally got around to watching his jr highlights and wow he is a perfect fit for this offense. I like him more than Cornwall in terms of fit for the offense but would take either. Just not sure we don't come in 2nd for both due to last yrs class.
We have the edge getting him with the Manning jersey, but if UK can get him with Couch's wife (Heather Kosar) this thing is over.

He preceded and followed Cade McNown with that though....ughh

They haven't had bball to gloat about this year, so I guess they're football fans now that they have a new coach.. Hoping there's finally some light at the end of that tunnel they've been going through for..... Well, forever.

Everything went great, said Barker, a four-star prospect whos ranked the No. 91 overall player and No. 7 pro-style quarterback in the 247Composite for the 2014 class. I really liked what I saw in the scrimmage, and I got to sit down and talk with Coach Jones and Coach Bajakian about the offense.
I got to hang out with the players, and I got to tour everything academics, facilities so it definitely was a great overall trip, and I definitely came out liking it a lot more than I thought I would.
When I hung out with the players and stuff, it was a lot like a family kind of just, like, a hometown feel, he said. I really liked the city. It just felt like I could be really comfortable if I went there. It just felt like I could definitely go there and feel like I was at my home away from home, so thats definitely a big thing.
Tennessees right up there with anybody else, Barker said. Im definitely really considering them. This visit was good for me to see how they measure up to the other schools, and I left liking it more than I expected.
It was definitely awesome, Barker said. The facilities are definitely the best anywhere, so, I mean, its definitely awesome to have those kinds of resources. The new staff, I think, is going to do great things and turn it around.
I have known them for a really long time, Barker added. Theyve been recruiting me since I was a freshman, when they were at UC, so I have a good relationship with them. It was great seeing them again.
They just said that my abilities fit right into their offense, he said. Right now, theyre probably not going to do as much of the stuff they kind of want to do, based off the quarterbacks they have right now, because theyre more drop-back passers. But thats what theyre looking for in recruiting a little more athletic players that can run so they definitely said I could fit in their offense very well.
Thx for the post, Lynx. Is it just me, or did it seem lukewarm?
Barker will not be coming here IMO. Taking the 2 in the last class and the chance that both could redshirt is going to hurt us with QB recruiting this year. Hope I am wrong. I think we need to consider QBs rated about 25-40 if we hope to land one. Maybe a local kid would fit the bill.
