Trust me this has been attempted several times. Tried to put together the revolution myself. It everyone ignores then it's like they're not even here.
None of us know what is discussed between the coaches and players on the front end. There is nothing the least bit "shady" about asking a kid if he is willing to grey shirt. In particular almost three months out before signing day. Now if we had told Paulk sorry you got hurt and your scholarship offer is no more then I might have an issue.
This. None of us know exactly what was said to any of our recruits. Yet some continue to take guesses and make assumptions anyways. I don't even know what the point of any of it is. And the worst part is they are doing it when a relative or someone close to Dews is obviously posting in this thread. I don't get the point. Are they trying to make the coaching staff look bad? It's like they want to prove that the coaches lied to him and his family. How could that kind of talk on here do any sort of good? And the worst part is they're making assumption all along as they don't know exactly what was said to Dews and his family.
This is all the proof I need for what the kid originally agreed to and how he understand the alternative.
I am very much appreciate he changed his mind(if he did) and I will always hold him at a higher regard for that decision!!
That's my last post on the grey shirt matter.
The kid is a True VfL

Ha wow man that's just flat out pitiful. Even after someone who you admit to believing as being very close to Dews says this...
"Couldn't agree more from moving on, but nonetheless, it was always a possibility he would grey-shirt, that was from the staff, there wasn't anything shady, Jerome always knew that was possible. And him saying he is better than a grey shirt, was a kid not understanding the opportunity being afforded to him at the time."
...and you still want to try and prove that the staff lied to him and that you were correct when that's OBVIOUSLY NOT the case. What's your problem man? Do you really have such a large ego that even after you were proven wrong you're still going to go with your argument that the coaches lied to him? I love how you chose to ignore that post by the way after continually saying you thought they were close to Dews. Very big of you. :hi:
And don't forget calling everybody out with his so called proof. Then when the real proof came out and he was flat out busted he still wasn't convinced. Yet he thought we should have been. Lol
How much more proof do you guys need to see he's not worth the time? Please, just put him on ignore.
From article written when he committed:
Potomac Coach Ronnie Crump said Tennessee initially could not guarantee a slot in the 2014 class and last week had offered a grayshirt arrangement in which Dews would join the 2015 class. But on Monday night, Head Coach Butch Jones, defensive coordinator John Jancek and linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen called to assure him that a linebacker spot in the 2014 class would be available and Dews quickly accepted.
What was he told on the front end????
Seriously Bruin... His Dad just said it was always a possibility. Please let it rest. You are doing yourself a huge disservice by continuing the discussion.
Here's what we know:
Kid says no to an initial grey shirt offer
Kid is assured a spot is available and quickly accepts.
Kid tweets he is absolutely not grey shirting.
We now have an anonymous Internet poster claiming he will grey shirt and was told all along it might happen.
Something doesn't add up.
Hopefully md is correct and the kid had been convinced this is best.
Why, why, WHY are you makong this a big deal? This constant detective work about what or what he was not told is tiring. Your argument on here carries absolutely no weight on his decision. If you are trying to figure out what he will do, just lwt it play out. However, you are really only trying to prove your point and say you were right, when honestly none of this even matters. It isn't a big deal man. RelaxHere's what we know:

And MD said it wasn't
Somebody want to convince me this kid was told it was a grey shirt from the beginning???
