'14 NC RB Derrell Scott (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Scott plays in Eastern NC, which is less densely populated. Accordingly, the talent is more spread out, but there are some really good players from that region of the state, nevertheless.

Various recruiting websites and magazines list what are said to be his favorites but Scott is quick to point out that he has not made a decision. He’s trying not to let all the hype and attention affect him.

“(College) coaches are always telling you how good you are and how much they want you to come and play for them,” Scott said. “But, I’ve got good parents around me to keep me humble.”

Scott said he wasn’t sure when he would make a decision, and that he has planned recruiting trips to South Carolina and Florida and to see N.C. State play North Carolina.

We have been about as exclusive a 2 back offense as any I can Remember. The 3rd guy is very much a nonfactor. I assume that will be used against us alot in this recruitment.

Maybe because we don't have a 3rd back the coaches consider a real contributor?

I think there are explanations other than scheme/coach preference for us being a two back system.

I think there are features of this offense and our scholarship distribution that would appeal to Scott.

I don't think we get him, ultimately, but maybe this article will give us some more insight.

Love this kid too.

Gillespie seemed to really like Pickett as well. I wonder
if he'd been available if he would've had an impact.

He's a troll. What 3rd back do we have to rotate in?

Never said we did just that it would easy for other schools to use Hurd against us with our current stats

We all are in amazement ever year how Bama gets blue chip after blue chip RB well their stats show carries are available for multiple backs. We know why that is but kids are easily sold on that stat sheet

next year we will have

Lane, Hurd, Pickett, Smith, Summerhill, Hill and Paulk (GS or RS)

And my only point(which how the hell its trolling is beyond me) was our competitors will point out to this kid that lane/ Hurd will be the tandem. They will point out, not saying fairly, that we only use 2 this year.

It's something we have to overcome to get another RB.
