'14 SC DT Poona Ford

This encouraging from tosu ESPN site. I like our chances.

7. DT Poona Ford (Hilton Head, S.C./Hilton Head)
6-0, 285
ESPN 300 Rank: 218

Why they want him: He has a compact body, but can fill it up with the best of them. At Ohio State’s one-day camp on June 9 he showed just why big colleges want him, displaying incredible strength and a quick burst.

Who wants him: Holds offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Boise State, Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Kansas State, Louisville, Marshall, Massachusetts, Missouri, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Purdue, South Carolina, Tennessee, Toledo, UCF and Utah State.

Odds they get him: 40 percent

Agreed, not a real story IMO

Prep Rally also posted here that they misquoted him in the first article (the one that was linked earlier in the thread).

Here's his actual quote:
“It has a great vibe,” he said. “There wasn’t really anybody there, but you could tell when people are there what it would be like. It’s kind of a mixture of the city and the country. The academic part, they make it easy. In order to do bad at South Carolina, you’ve got to try to fail.”

Just goes to show how sloppy journalism can make an innocent statement look far worse than it is.

It's still not something an institution of higher learning wants to hear about its classes, which I think was the point the article was trying to make. No class should be that easy no matter the academic support.

This. It was taken out of context, but come on. As an institution of higher learning, they don't want to hear that the classes are so easy.

99% of the time the Journalist has his own agenda and is looking for something/some quote to give it life.

Y'all are right down there with us. :/ But why let facts get in the way of a good story, right?

Actually we have the 45th best public school in the nation. Edit: Also USC is 55th, and its out of 115. So both schools are not too shabby.
