I agree. If butch can beat vandy with cincy He can do it with our guys. Our team should be pissed off when they hit the field that game and I think they will.

If my info is wrong then I will say I am wrong. I am still hearing he is a Vol. Unless I hear different I am sticking with what is given to me

Bothering the young man? Please, if you want to be a high profile recruit, then don't become so surprised at questions from fans, reporters, and other schools.

That's like Obama telling the nation not to criticize him.

If OrangeHammer really pissed him off that bad, do you really think the recruit has a stable head?

If it only takes one fan to steer a recruit away then I didn't want the recruit anyway.

"Barnett is a silent. Saw and talked to Vic, Barnett, Weatherd, pre-committed Gaulden, Creamer, Dews, and a few other 2014 guys at Jimmie John's Friday night. They are all pretty laid back for being "the Legacy class". I asked Vic when Gaulden and Barnett were going public he just said and I quote, "soon". TIFWIW"

I hope we are a lot better this year. As bad as we were last year, most sat on this board swearing we would not lose to candy. It was not even close. As of now Jelks and Kimbrow are the ones laughing. A 4TD UT win would put things back as they should be.

And everyone here wanted to castrate me because he basically told me the same thing. I dunno where he got A&M from, but he said he'd probably go to Vandy when I asked. Better yet, this is exactly how it went down:

Saw Vic while walking and I know how vocal he is about recruiting on twitter. Barnett was beside him so I said "Hey Vic how recruiting this guy coming along?" He said "He likes Vandy." I then asked DB who his favs were and he said "Vandy and aTm, but more than likely Vandy," that "they were turning it around." I told him Vandy would never be on Tennessee's level, said good luck and walked off.

I just dont know why he would answer like that. Its not like people were harassing him about it, everyone was juat hanging out.

I can pretty much guarantee we will not quit, especially in Neyland. It might be close for a quarter but we will put on the gas and not let off.

Yep. Bothering him like he had reporter credentials around his neck. Asking the kid recruiting questions then run to his iphone to post it on Facebook for his "news"

Be a fan, shake the young man's hand, tell him good luck, hope u choose us. Move on. Dont be Joe reporter at a college party

Excuse this dumb question (I haven't kept up with Derek Barnett or this thread)... but are we definitely recruiting him as a DT, or is that just a possibility?

You are not alone. I think this too. Been saying for a whole, the d-line will be much improved, perhaps second best unit IMO.

There's this lil thingy called mock draft. I mean it's gotten kinda big nowadays, on tv and everything. I'm just gonna guess that if McCullers rips it up, the word will get out. Dont sleep on Couch either. JMO.

What I've heard is even after his subpar last year, Dan was ranked as a late 2nd-3rd round pick by the draft committee just as a specimen.

That being said those are the same people who had Bray as a 5-6 round pick. They overrate players to get more young players to go in the draft.

You guys are all forgetting, Hubbs and PFort have both consistently said the Vols lead for weeks now. I'll roll with them until they say otherwise.

IMO it depends on what the other DTs do in Aug. I would not be shocked to see us fill our 3-4 DT spots around that timeframe. No need to have candy commits OV later on if all the spots are filled. Wish them well, and no thanks.
