The vibe of the staff is that they are very energetic and always reaching out to former Vols and are pros at social media. They are recieved with very open arms and everyone donors including are very excited about this upcoming season. As for Jackson he does have interest but in the end word is that USC will be too much to overcome.

Not buying what you are spewing about Jackson. He has a desire to come back east based on his comments, Florida is way more likely than USC.

No worries, PassedOut, I am not Jalen's grandfather (as the kid on that thread thought that I was). I am simply a friend of the family - nothing more, nothing less. I'm a big UT & Beech fan. If I find out something (like Gaulden's commit), I'll drops hints like I did the other day.

I generally bring good news, and my apologies that this is not what everyone was wanting to read. If the kid is all Vol, then woo wee, I am ecstatic. That is just not what I have heard. It's not just from Hurd and his buds, but the coaching staff is unsure as well.

I just hope that the recent visit was enough to maintain his interest and he eventually commits to us. Period.

If Barnett himself doesn't want to drop hints, you or Hurd shouldn't want to in his stead IMHO. This class is tight and if he's indeed a silent, it's for a reason and i'm sure he would be hurt if Jalen leaked something and I'm sure Jalen would feel you broke his trust supplying people you don't even know, hints.

All we can do is recruit as hard as we can for the best DT's who have an interest in us and then take the ones who will commit regardless if they are an in state guy or not. I think a lot of things will come into play.

I have always said our play on the field will determine how well things go. Not just W's and L's but if we look like a well coach football team.

Surprised at having 23 commitments without taking the field yet. Add some good things to the what the Butch is cooking from our play and we will be fine at all positions once NSD gets here.

Personally, I like the fact that it's us vs. Vandy.

Will make it all that much sweeter when he comes here.

And if not, oh well. We're still due to beat them for about the next 12 years.
