Guessing Franklin is playing up the APR issues and that type of BS big time.

Hopefully she saw the real world this weekend.

Kind of explains their constant state of butthurt lately if that's what they're selling and kids aren't buying.

Using the APR against Tenn doesn't hold water unless CBJs APR scores are poor. Anyone know if his APR scores at UC or CM were good, bad, or ugly??

Then CBJ has plenty of ammo to combat that angle from Candy. That leaves the perceived value of a vandy education to fight and that one won't be as easy to win.

I hope we don't use negative recruiting like vandy. I'm sure every school does it but in the end it just makes you look weak. Just my .10

Posting testosterone matches aside - Derek - you can get the education and future career you and your mom want by attending UT while playing for a program that has the ability to reach the top of the sport as has been demonstrated for over a century. That simply will not happen at Vandy. Add in that when looking at players to stock rosters in the NFL from the state of Tennessee, the GM's will always look at what UT has to offer first. Don't take my word for it, talk with the VFL's that visit campus all year round that have rings on their fingers and titles on their bio's, along with sons that play on the teams.

I know, I just meant that I'm guessing he's trying to paint UT in a very negative academic light thus their perma-butthurt.

I'd say that's causing problems in a couple of places for him. One, once on campus at UT the things he says are proven untrue and give a parent more to think about. Two, I'm guessing after meeting a couple of the players Franklin has brought in a few more doubts are raised about what exactly is going with Vandy and its academics (lower standards, etc).

Meh, just something to think about on a boring Tuesday.

Franklinvol has been dead-on with the Gaulden/Barnett stuff so far. I honestly think he is the same person as BigOrangeTailgate (or at least talks to the same source).

Not the same person but I do know Franklinvol. We both have kids at BA and I'm sure our sources are the same. There are only so many coaches and staff people at BA to talk to after all. He gets in a lot more time over there than I do. Unfortunately, I have to work to pay that tuition! I have followed the BA guys the last several years since I see them often and catch all the games. It's been disappointing to a large extent but I can't express enough the difference with CBJ. The coaches love him and Coach Abernathy has been invited twice already to assist at camps in Knoxville and he did make it up to help this weekend. The feeling around here toward UT has completely changed and I'm excited about the future with this staff. Sorry about going off topic, btw.

Gaulden's commitment and his mom's visit seem to be the last dominoes to fall before Barnett's commitment. This is going to happen any day now.

Yeah I thought there were multiple people saying both would be Vols and Gaulden would commit a few weeks before Barnett? Isn't this happening right on schedule or am I missing something?

Still amazed that Vol74 info is the same as mine yet everyone is talking about how they will laugh in my face when he commits.
