I--and a lot of others--have felt like he was open to leaving the city for a long time . I definitely felt that way after meeting with him and visiting a bit last month. From that standpoint I wouldn't call it surprising .

I think Tennessee has a real shot with him.

Actually, we can all acknowledge that you are NOT a smart and intelligent poster. Funny you bring up our inside play in 2014 when we had to explain to you in another thread that we weren't recruiting Mitchell anymore because we will have 8 gaurds on the roster in 2014.

It is pretty clear that you have no idea what you are talking about. Go back to the board you came from.

VolQuest is solid. They probably get better football info than basketball, but when they say something positive, you can take it to mean that we are realistically in it. They will hedge, but they will also not ruin a kid's announcement if they know.

I am thinking Illionois here. I have heard that the Illinois coaches have had a good and long relationship with him. I would think we are second.

If Rob is offering up info on 5* recruits you can believe its solid. He's very reserved, especially when it comes to big time hoops prospects.

This. Illinois definitely seems to lead, but it definitely appears Tennessee is closing the gap. Get him here for a visit along with his mother and you never know.

If he makes it out of his Illinois visit without committing I actually think we may pull him. Having the last visit is huge, but only if he makes that visit obviously.

Agreed. Honestly if we get Black ill be slightly less disappointed if we miss out on Looney.

I don't think Looney and Black will both sign. They would both play the 4. It's probably the first to sign. Or if Looney does decide to wear orange, then Black maybe opens his recruitment back up again for the second time.

Idk. I don't think they will either but Black can more than play the three. If ALL the commits get together and talk about the possibilities of playing together if could happen. Black and Looney would come in an start without a doubt if they both wanted to come.

I think you'd be disappointed with Black at the 3. He's a 4.

I am not expecting either black or looney...I would be thrilled with landing either. I won't even begin to discuss the craziness that will ensue if we were to somehow land both.

As for the 2 coexisting...looney and black are both versatile enough to play on the court together, that part is pretty clear.

I wonder how much of an impact AB will make on Black's decision. I'm sure he will paint a big orange picture how great UT is while he is here.

Definitely wont hurt. Something else worth noting is that Leron Black and Jason Carr are pretty good friends and supposedly talk regularly, went to the same HS.
