No mention of a Tn visit yet. Specifically said UF on 8/1, followed by Illinois then Memphis. Memphis is going to get back in this just like the did with Nichols. Maybe Tn gets one of the last two visits.
I've personally never thought we had a legitimate chance, but Rob Lewis constantly mentioned/s black and saying that he thinks we'll get a visit. I do think Memphis will come back into the picture, but in the end I think he likely ends up at UF.

at this point i really don't care anymore, Black seems to have new a favorite each time he's interviewed. I wouldn't be shocked if he were to re-commit to Baylor.
Black supposedly taking family with him on UOV to UF this week. May just be vacationing....or may be on a mission. UF insiders seem to think it's down to UF and IU. With family going and Chiozza there, got to be a heavy, heavy FL-lean at this point.
This thread may be overcome by events come Monday or so.
Not sure what that's supoosed to mean. I don't think any Tennessee fans really ever felt like we were really in it. On the other hand Memphis fans seemed to really think they were back in it, and the Memphis staff was spending ALOT of time on Black the past month or so.
Memphis starting spending time on Black again once Kirby joined the staff. The family really likes him. I think that's what got Memphis back in the picture. I still think he will sign with FL. Just my opinion. He could commit as early as this weekend. I personally wouldn't mind seeing him off the table so everyone can move on.
Lol I agree with this 100%
I've been saying Florida too, but I'm just ready for him to commit wherever so our staff will stop wasting their time.
Exactly. I really don't care to seem him in Memphis or Knoxville. The hype reminds me of Adonis Thomas coming out of high school. He'll be a primadona where ever he goes.

Black's UF visit was a little underwhelming; no commit and no UF follow-on buzz. Tend to agree with bwings opinion on Black. Could easily be next headcase for Pastner should he commit.
FWIW, Memphis CA writer J Martin just dropped a CB for Leron Black to Illinois.

Thomas was never a prima donna. He was a top honor student who had academic offers from Yale and Harvard. He was a first class kid from a great family. We actually had a shot at him until the stuff hit the fan.
Is there any tangible reason you guys are saying this? Just blind speculation?
So when you post, it's an opinion; when the Memphis guys post, it's blind speculation?
Personally, don't like some of his interview responses; I get a "me first" feeling. He will fit in fine at some schools where he is The Big Dog. If he is truly a "team first" guy, ready for him to be a Tiger today. Also, at this point in the recruiting process, I'm undecided on the "Memphis kid" syndrome; Black doesn't strike me as a Nichols, King, M. Crawford "anything-for-the-team" type. Plenty of time to change my mind if he commits. JMBS
If I were to go as far as calling a kid a prima donna, I would at least explain myself.
I know this is asking a lot, but care to offer any examples of his me first attitude? I ask because everything I've seen doesn't scream "me me me," it's typical recruit talk.
You're profiling "Memphis posters"; I never said "prima donna".
If I run across pertinent quotes, I'll post. Otherwise, you've got your opinion; I've got my blind speculations.
