I think the staff is hoping for Salsberry (RSJR next year), or O'Brien (RSSoph) to emerge and break out. I agree that an influx of JUCO's aren't the long term fix.My issue with our recruitment of DTs is we are in need of an infusion of young talent as well as experienced guys. Too many JuCo DTs and we are right back where we are now in two years. Neck if one of these Jucos has a monster yr he could be one and done.
We need Mosley, and IMO another HS DT.
I looked at the commits and saw we have no true Freshmen recruits committed. Hendrix, Henderson, Barnett, Mixon etc are all DE. Moseley is the only one, and he's not committed. This continues to be our Achilles Heal.

It would be nice to have room for another HS DT but the staff knows it needs to win now and having to replace so many DL it only makes sense to go JUCO heavy this class, especially with EE's.
Barnett and Cory Thomas likely grow into DT's both are already 270+. Carr and Vickers (who the staff has added weight to end up a DT) are redshirting. So if you look at it like that there will be 5 freshman DT's on campus if they add Mosley.
With so many DE's in the last two classes I'm betting they go HS DT heavy in '15 class.
Two targets that are definitely still coveted in Knoxville are Top247 defensive end Derek Barnett (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) and Top247 lineman Charles Mosley (Brighton, Tenn./Brighton). One thing to note about Mosley is that it appears that whichever school adds the 6-5, 345-pound prospect will also have the inside track to add 2015 Top247 offensive lineman Drew Richmond (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University School).

Very interesting note
