The Tennessee Volunteers have already offered 10 players from Tennessee with the most recent offer going to defensive tackle Charles Mosley.
The 6-foot-5, 350-pounder received a Tennessee offer when he visited Knoxville.
Tennessee was great, Mosley said. Everyone kept bragging to me about it and it was a lot better than what I was expecting. I really like their facilities and the Vol For Life program.
Mosley, who is being recruited by Tennessee line coach Steve Stripling, was made an immediate priority by the Vols and already has a solid connection with the TN staff. Coach Stripling is a real cool guy, he said. When he came down to my school he was really cool too. The whole staff is a bunch of really good guys.
Growing up as a Tennessee native, Mosley always considered the Vols to be one of his favorites, but snagging an offer from Butch Jones and company really sealed the deal.
Tennessee was always one of my top schools in my mind, but now that they offered me I am excited. I had been waiting on them for a while to come down here.
Mosley got witness the Basketball game between TN and Kentucky and were treated to the Vols 30-point win in Thompson-Boling Arena, which showcased the Vols' passionate fan base.
It just really showed me how their fans are, Mosley said. I could really picture myself playing here.
Mosley, who was accompanied by his family, said the coaching stayed on him like glue throughout the visit and definitely impressed his mother, who will be a big factor in his recruitment.
They stayed with me the whole time and had me going around meeting everyone, he said. They showed me a lot of love. My momma liked them a lot and that is really what matter.
I dont plan on making an early decision, he said. Ill probably wait til the end of my football season.
"It was great. I liked it all down here. It shocked me," Mosley said. "Everybody kept telling me Tennessee's going to treat you real good and I was like, 'I'll just have to see.' But, they showed me and they shocked me."
"They just told me they were really excited about me and they had been waiting for me to come up here and everybody was talking good about me and they wanted me to get down here so they could see me. I liked it," Mosley offered. "They are serious about me. They showed me they are serious about me and they want me to come here and play. That's what I like about it. They kept it honest."
"They really shocked me," Mosley said. "Like, everywhere you go everyone always says they have the biggest facilities and Tennessee and everybody had told me they were the best and they're up there. They really are up there."
"They said they're going to have five defensive lineman leaving and that it's going to be my decision whether or not I'm going to start," Mosley said.
Mosley's next visit will be to Ole Miss on March 2 and that's all he has set up for now. As for his lasting impression of his Tennessee visit? "It's great. That's all I really can say," Mosley said.
We should do a lot of negative recruiting against Ole Mi$$...ain't hard to do. Just look at their Moniker/Mascot. Col. Reb's a crying. Not cause of Yaw-Yaw. Cause of all them slaves that done got freed, and the "Rebels" couldn't do nothing to stop it.
I still don't get it. How in the hell would a black athlete want to play for a school named after a clear-cut symbol of slavery and the bloody war trying to keep the institution intact. :loco:
