You know what? It doesn't change anything. We don't know jack. None of us were counting on a punter commit, Austin Smith, or Quay Picou. Everything we discuss is speculation, and unless you are a news-maker, it's silly to get so worked up about this stuff.

What's scary to me is the emotion involved in this thread and we are over 7 months away from NSD. This thread will easily hit 10,000 posts by the end of summer.

I'm great. Nothing has changed as far as us leading until we see something solid. I'm sure when Gibson does commit you and Tux will be ready to jump off a building somewhere.

Like I have said I want Gibson on the team and he has the most potential. But we have a good back up plan in Dormady. We signed him for insurance. If Gibson doesn't come we have Jennings and Dormady. I, unlike you and a few other horrible posters want whats best for UT.

Nothing will change until we see something solid? I'm pretty sure both Hubbs and Callahan saying we are backing off and we don't lead is pretty solid. And Dormady is not a freaking back up plan. He is the real deal.

Gibson has said we lead. He is still involved with many of our recruits. These are the same guys who swore Ferguson was the next Manning. When I see it from Gibson or the national guys I will think something has changed. How can they know what Gibson is thinking? You think the coaches called them and told them they were backing off Gibson? Or Gibson called them and said we don't lead? Sure.

The articles when Dormady signed even said we were desperate and took him in case we didn't get a better qb.

Go ahead and provide the link that said we were desperate for a QB and just wanted to lock one up. Every article I read talked about his impressive arm strength and accuracy. He is going to be at least a 4 star on every site by signing day. That's not a guy that you just say, "Well I guess we'll take him since no one else has committed."

I think Butch is a no nonsense guy , and has basicly called TG's bluff. Either get on board or get left behind. Early commitment or see ya. It may be reported that Butch has backed off , but I think he would still be a take if he contacts the staff and wants in. In a month or two, not so sure.

My comment was more pointing to you so sure CBJ was all over TG and was recruiting him as hard as ever. TG was the #1 recruit on the board and anyone who questioned that was insane.

When Dormady committed and it was mentioned TG still on his visit and CBJ was in Miami for the Heat game, I had a feeling CBJ was not "pushing" as hard as you felt he was.
