That's true if everything works out but there is no guarantee and I'm a Jennings guy i hope he does great things here.
You obviously aren't following his recruiting at all, then. It's actually the opposite of what you are claiming, here. He and his folks were at the Orange Carpet event. He loved it and said his folks did, too. Had very glowing comments about the staff and program.
Plus you forget...he may not be FROM TN...but he is now playing in TN country. Surrounded DAILY by classmates that are no doubt largely TN fans. You think they ain't in his ear continuously? Pfffft...what you say, brah. :loco:
I watched the SBnation interview that was posted yesterday and something seemed interesting to me. The reporter asked him if there were some guys that he would or wouldnt want to play with. With a fecal eating grin, Gibson said, "I know a lot of people I would LOVE to play with, but I have to keep that on the low for now". Then he mentions McKenzie.
What do you guys think about that? You think he is referring to some guys that are already enrolled or committed somewhere and doesnt want to give it away? Maybe a silent?

CBJ could sign the #1 and #2 rated QBs in the country this year. It would still not be a guarantee that 1 is a world beater in Orange. You can't just chalk them up to "what if" though and keep taking more QBs when you have needs elsewhere. It's the coaches job to evaluate, recruit, gain a commitment, sign the kid, and then develop the kid. You don't keep stacking QBs just to take them. You develop the ones you have.
I felt UT would be taking 2 CBs in 2015. Ordway and Martin was the ones I had in my class. With Martin having attended camp then not announcing to UT, I have my doubts if the staff takes him now. Then news came down that Jefferson was still a WR the coaches were trying to land. Simple add and subtract IMO. Add Jefferson, Bruce slides to CB and there ya have it.
I can't keep up with all the TG issues. Just going off all the services, DM, TB, and others saying there are "issues" in play with TG and schools recruiting him.

We are not a prostyle offense.
That setup that Chip Kelly is running in Philly?...does that qualify?...because they ran out Vick and Pat White, and replaced them with Mark Sanchez to back up Nick Foles ...real dual threats there huh?...maybe read recognition and actually getting the ball to the WEAPONS is more important in a spread offense?
I don't understand why people don't want one of the best athletes in the country in orange, no matter the position....
I am convinced that most posters don't know what type of offense we run, and what pieces we need to make it work. They want us to run the same type of offense that AU and TAMU, but we don't.
Just because we have a hammer does not mean that every problem is a nail.
That works on video games, but in real life, there is more to it. We all know that CBJ has a recruiting profile that he follows. I will take a hard working, coachable, selfless three or four star over a four or five star with questionable work ethic and attitude.
As everyone saw with TO and other professional athletes, it only takes one to destroy team chemistry. (not referring to TG, but in general to the statement that we should just take the best athletes regardless of position)
