I'll repeat what others have said here - he's not going to be eligible to play anywhere in Tennessee this season. Camion knew what he had to do in the classroom to retain his eligibility. He was given an opportunity to "fix" some things in summer school, and in short, he didn't take advantage of the opportunity at all (you've at least got to show up for class). Absolutely pathetic. If someone from West sweet talks the TSSAA into giving him credit(s) that he didn't earn in order to regain his eligibility, there will be a lot of people crying foul (I can think of a few at LC). Barring some good ol' boy politics, prep school is the only place we could see him play football this year.So can someone explain to me what enrolling at West does for his eligibility? What does he exactly need to do to be eligible?
Scotty Whitt was the best player that Clinton ever had. But he couldn't make the grades. He played in the early 90's and had Bama, Nebraska, Miami, alot of top 10 teams wanting him. Jermaine was a good all around athlete. I went to school with him, and sadly he could not read. Many students helped him get good enough grades just to play ball in high school!Yeah, I've never heard him referred to as that but he is there mon/wed night every week lol. It is a shame, this dude was one of the most amazing athletes I've ever seen. Could have played WR or CB in college. His zero to full speed was amazing. Wish he would have panned out.

It really is a shame, especially given his level of talent. I don't think being enrolled at West is a bad thing, although prep school would have been a better option IMO, since he could have played ball. Maybe he'll actually work on his academics now. I'm not holding my breath though. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink (and you can't make him thirsty). I hate seeing a local kid waste so much athletic potential simply because he was lazy/irresponsible in the classroom.Wow unbelievable, not sure if we should even take him at this point. Work ethic in the classroom is beyond questionable. Shame.
