'15 LA RB Kendall Bussey (Former UT commit)

I kept watching his film and thinking his skill set reminded me on somebody but I couldn't get who it was. Today it hit me this guy is just like Darren Sproles. He is a bowling ball, extremely quick, and has great skills as a receiver out of the backfield. He is perfect for a system that gets him out in space a lot.

Scott looks like sproles/Brandon Oliver type to me in limited action but that is more based on run style and physical body. I'm interested to see Scott now with more room to work.

Bussey looks bigger than sproles to me at least on a hudl film.

Wouldn't get my hopes too high on Bussey. He's a Nebraska commit, took an unofficial visit there this past weekend and came away very impressed. Add that to the fact he may get instant playing time there and I think he ends up a Husker in the end.

Maybe so, bit it seems as if he's just looking for a reason to decommit. At least from my perspective.

We need a great LA RB to get the taste of the last LA RB out of our mouth.

Judging by your post history you are a Nebraska fan. You're opinion is worthless here.

Bourque? Don't you need to get through a practice or it didn't happen?

Do you remember his cone drill problems in practice? After watching that video on VolQuest I felt bad for the kid. And then he bolted. True model for adversity right there.
:)

:)

I'm a completist.

In one of these last games this year, I would like to see Scott as tailback Hurd as fullback out of the I formation.

Think back to 1998, fullback Shawn Bryson takes a handoff from Tee Martin and runs straight up the middle of the field for a long touchdown run. They did this multiple times during the season. It was almost like the other teams could not comprehend a fullback being that fast. those plays still make me :) when I think of them.
I was at the 98 Fl.game when Bryson did it the first time. You could tell his speed caught Flordias lb and secondary off guard.

That play got huge yards if not a touchdown about every time they ran it. Of course, the line had made such a big hole that no one was close enough to touch him until he got past the level of the linebackers.

What happened in the cone drills ?

During a practice highlight reel Gillespie kept making him do the shuffle "foot work" drill over bc he kept knocking the cones over. Finally, after 3 unsuccessful tries Coach Gillespie sent him running. While jogging away you could clearly see Bourque's frustration as he was shaking his head.

That would have been Jay Graham, not Gillespie.

Dude looked about as coordinated as my grandmother. Didn't even look like he was trying or cared whatsoever if he didn't do it right. I would still like to know what exactly happened with that situation. It was very odd. I think he went to Juco after he left here but I don't think he made it past that last I heard.

40 times are to be taken w/ a grain of salt, but ive seen the following:

Hurd - 4.37

Love - 4.30 & 4.47

Bussey - 4.37 & 4.42

Moral of the story is these three guys are all in the same class when it comes to breakaway speed.

Bussey carried the ball 12 times for 110 yards & 2 TDs last night...also had 3 receptions for 45 yards.

Regular-season stats: 128 carries for 1,123 yards (8.8 ypc) & 25 TDs, 30 catches for 498 yards & 5 TDs.

I think Love is the fastest personally. He's a very fast kid.

Anything under a 5 second 40 is fast IMO. Lol. Never ran faster than a 5.1
These kids are elite.

I was around that. I'm not sure people realize how fast even a 4.7 is. You run a 4.7 you are flying. I always chuckle at the People that aren't around athletics and get on here and see a 220 pound RB with a 4.6 by his name and type "slow IMO".

These 4.4-4.3 dudes are just genetic freaks.
