'15 LA RB Kendall Bussey (Former UT commit)

I was around that. I'm not sure people realize how fast even a 4.7 is. You run a 4.7 you are flying. I always chuckle at the People that aren't around athletics and get on here and see a 220 pound RB with a 4.6 by his name and type "slow IMO".

These 4.4-4.3 dudes are just genetic freaks.

4.7 still not really fast. Above the average but you're not flying. Unless you're an OL. :)

I'd say the average is probably a true 4.5 forty for most RBs. What you say? A true 4.3 speed is "Chris Johnson like," though he's faster than that. Even if you can run that fast, it doesn't mean you can play that fast. Guys who play that fast one cut it to the outside and blow by everyone. If we had a true 4.3 forty RB behind Hurd, I can't imagine how good we could be. I know this isn't the thread for this question, but does anyone truly know Perry's forty time? He looks super fast when he plays.

Chris a true 4.2 guy. You can tell the real fast dudes. Remember Demps, Rainey, Harvin, CP, Spiller, etc...... They look the part. Love looks very fast to me. Bussey looks more quick than fast.

The only thing to consider when looking at 40 times, is some lose more speed than others when they put pads on.

4.5 is the average for RBs at what level?

Lol dude shut up. If you're posts are true your abilities were D1 level elite. A 4.7 isn't fast relative to SEC football, but to the average eye that is very fast.

If you see me at close to 30 years old you probably wouldn't doubt me. But like I said big guy 4.7 isn't really fast unless you're a lineman or a TE. 4.7 CBs look like Marsalis Teague at CB. Which is why he never looked good for us.

I would add MLB too.

A yeah if you're big a 4.7 looks fast and that's moving. A guy under 200 with a 4.7 is slow to tell the truth.....

I am pretty sure he is talking about an average person, not a D1 football player. 4.7 is fast for an average person.

Kind of like breaking 100 in golf. Don't play as much now because of kids, but I used to get mad when I had bad rounds in the 90's or screw up good rounds in the 80's. Then you remember that there is a very low percentage of the population that can break 100.

I said a 4.7 was above average. I guess he took it as a shot.... I don't have time to argue with these dudes that want to take personal shots.

No no man I was not taking it as a shot at all, honestly I was saying shut up in a laughing manner. I'm just saying to you who has elite athleticism, a 4.7 is not fast. Especially in sec football. But I would bet most guys on this board don't realize how fast a 4.7 actually looks to the naked eye, and there probably isnt 10 people on this board that could break a 4.9.

I'm sorry if that came out as if I was saying you were lying or something, it's hard to understand someone's tone through typing on a message board.

Would love to see Bussey and Jefferson each commit to the Orange before next Saturday.

So excited for next week, I need things to distract me until then!

Great another thread turned into "I can run a 3.9 40 and bench 700 lbs all while I'm winning an MMA title in my weight class." Amazes me how many people try and make every thread about themselves.
