I know we're sitting good with some top DT's but passing on Sterling Johnson? Wow, that would be something. I guess if anyone is going to do that it would be Big Balls Butch.

Looks like from the tweets thread, the announcement will be between 7:30 and 8:00 pm. Now the question is: Eastern, I'm assuming??

don't think they would pass on this kid right now in the process, if anything wait for McKenzie and Settle, and if we land them we can worry about available spots at that point.

But Johnson may have passed on UT. We may have had him in a holding pattern and he decided to go elsewhere.

I just hope this doesn't come to bite UT in the ass.

Looks like that is what is about to play out. UT wanted Johnson to wait on them while they tried to land bigger fish and Johnson(much like Harrell did), may be saying screw that, I have other quality options.

As I said before, when you have a smaller class and having to slow play kids will always lead to losing kids you "lead" for.

Not going to make any assumptions one way or the other, I'm just hoping we didn't pass on this dude to chase Jones until juco signing day.
