'15 NC RB Bryce Love

we take Love if he wants in regardless. If we want to compete for championships you take the best talent you can get. Period.

Does that mean you drop someone else? Who knows

Why can't people understand this? We need great talent if we are ever going to get back into national prominence.

Not saying it is going to happen. Love has plenty of options as does Butch, which includes no more RB commits. However, there is room for one more at the inn if he wants to be here IMO. So we are so stocked that we would turn down a top 5 RB that is a top 100 player on Rivals? Nah. Plus you don't know who is going to wash out or flip to somebody else before NSD. Love has offers from UGA and UF. That's all I really need to know.

The fact of the matter is that Butch is turning away some big time talent, because he has so much talent already locked up at various positions.

If Love commits, I really don't think Reid sticks around even though they are completely different types of backs. I'll trust the coaches judgment here whatever happens.

I agree with Tux and Leb. Six running backs in two years is just pointless. If Love commits I think that means Reid goes elsewhere. I like Reid and Love so it doesn't matter to me. If they let Love commit then that means they think they upgraded talent. If we find out later that they turned Love away that means they really like what they have in Reid.

That they do.

They have taken 1 for 2015. They took 1 in 2014. Notice how they are spaced out? That makes sense.

6 RBs on the roster, and taking 6 in 2 classes is very different.

They did take 6 in two classes tho. They took 4 in one and 2 in the next. Idk why we can't take 3 and 3. Then sell a top back on being THE guy in 2016.

If Love commits we will take three in this class. Our rb recruiting before last year has blown, not sucked, BLOWN! thats why we will take that many. not to metion one is coming off major knee surgery. another is a juco. so yes we will period if its Love or a select few other. a very select few.

Numbers come into play in major way at this point. The only way that we take Love, is if Reid de-commits. Reid brings a different skill set to the Vols backfield, than all other RBs with the exception of Hurd. Whereas, Love brings speed, which we have that skill set in Scott and Kamara.

Numbers do not matter right now. If he wants to come he can. Reid will not effect if he can commit. Reid may decommit if he comes, but him being already won't block Love. No one on the roster has Love's skills. Kamara either.

No he can not. Sure, he can commit, but Butch Jones will have the final say on whether he accepts his commitment.

There is much more to playing RB than sprinting in a straight line.

Numbers will dictate who's commitments will be accepted. I highly doubt we take another RB lest, Reid leaves.

Since you compared Kamara and Love.

A RB who runs a 4.3 at 174lbs.

A RB who runs 4.45 at 215lbs.

I'll take the bigger back with 4.45 speed all day in the SEC.

On all the radio shows and in articles it has been reported we want him bad and he has a spot. Just because YOU think the numbers are tight doesn't mean the coaches do. Ryan Callahan said on Ainge's show he was one of the players we will take no matter what the numbers are.

Last year at this time we had 8 recruits committed we didn't sign. It will be similar this year. Some will decommit on their own and some will be dropped. That is major college football recruiting. They have been discussing it on TSR everyday. Some players will simply be recruited over. Your numbers argument has been blown up with every commit in the last 2 moths you didn't think we would or could accept a commit from.

Maybe Reid sees the writing on the wall if he commits and leaves on his own. Maybe he is dropped. Maybe he sticks it out and someone else drops. Either way CBJ knows what he is doing.

I want Ak also. If anyone gets dropped it will be Reid. Love has different skills than Ak though. Both would be great.

You're not counting ones that have left like Kamara.

AU rb recruiting in 3 years: 3,2,2
UT rb recruiting in 3 years: 0,3,3
UGA rb recruiting in 3 years:2,2,2
Bama rb recruiting in 3 years:1,2,4. (They tried to get fornette and Roc Thomas too). Which would have been 8 in 4 years.

UT's rb spread will be in 2015
1 RS soph.
2 Soph.
1 RS fresh.
1 Fresh.

That's easily spread out enough, especially with how common it is for Rbs to leave early
