'15 NC RB Bryce Love

A certain outspoken NFL all-pro running back begs to differ. Although his talents were wasted his senior year in the dreaded clawffense

That certain NFL pro needed to learn how to hold on to the damn ball once he got inside the twenty. Probably one of the better running backs I've seen until he got in the redzone then it was a 50/50 chance he would fumble in a crucial situation.

This is why you recruit 3 guys @ a particular position.

Lol, it's so funny... He constantly proves himself wrong with his own posts!

look this guy is an obvious troll and not a Tennessee fan. pay no attention to what he says. does it every thread to take focus off kids. pathetic

I think Leb is honestly "justa trying to figure out how all dez numbers going to work" every thread. I laugh because he takes one of two diametric opposite views.

Jones is supposed to take whoever will commit immediately; I mean my lord let's not wait on someone higher on the board for even an instant. See Richmond where Butch according to Leb screwed the pooch by not taking ANY and I mean ANY living body at LT as soon as they were ready to commit. And then if we take a kid early well by golly we better be ready to stick to that commitment come hell or high water because continuous evaluation during the recruiting cycle is for back stabbing snakes like Saban.

Lebs approach to recruiting may have worked in 1960 but in modern day football it's just impossible to do. Perfect example Darren Kirkland.

He got that reputation for fumbling on about 4 plays at UT which were so noticeable but the stats show him losing 6 fumbles in the three years he was here. Its just that those are so memorable but obviously statistically he was good at ball security.

Maybe in the past he was just trying to figure out numbers or voice his opinion, but not anymore. He's gone to full troll status bashing the coaches and saying we will lose the next 2 years and attacking anyone who dare disagree. Seems like he's pulling for that to happen now. Not to mention all the accusations he throws around now.

He's always been attacked because he repeats it over and over but it's never been like this.

Leb is entitled to his opinion. There is truth that stacking studs 3 deep is not easily managed. He is excessive in his views but many of us are on one topic or another.

True but not to this extent... Don't know if you have read it all but he's the one that can't stand for there to be other opinions. He's turned to bashing the coaches and one liners.

Yeah , we don't want to end up like Saban, winning national championships with a roster full of top 300 players would just be a tremendous drag.

Except for the fact CBJ was doing exactly what I said should be done if I were running things. He would have stuck with Cherry, the guy he took the commitment from, had he not taken the trip to TX. Kirkland was not a take for TN had Cherry not took visits. Kirkland said as much himself.

Had CBJ moved on from Richmond the day he chose Ole Miss as I had mentioned, IMO it would have put UT in a much stronger position to land another OT(Allen/Sweet). As it has played out, I may have been reasonable in that mindset.

Too bad you have to wait until NSD for confirmation. :focus:

Eh, for now I'm confident. Both have re-affirmed with the schools they are committed to. Sure something could change, but unless UGA gets greedy and tries to another OT I think Allen sticks.

I like Leb.

He's alright at times but I don't buy that he is a UT fan. He slanders the staff and does way more harm than good for the team that he supposedly loves. I understand that there is always going to be differences of opinion with the staff BUT he comes up with the most backwards logic for slandering the staff. He even blames Jones for Ferguson leaving the team which is an absolute joke.

When a man takes a job like the HC at Tennessee and is paid all that money, at times it comes with ridicule when someone thinks something is not being done the right way. Just comes with the territory. I'd think CBJ knows he can't please everyone in every situation. The late QB slip in maneuvers is just one I'm not a fan of. Do I think it played a role in the RF situation? Obviously I do.

I was one of the earliest pro CBJ guys on here. I said his resume made more sense for the $$ than Charlie Strong did. Yes, there are a few things I'd like to see CBJ change recruiting tactic wise. In time, I think he will come around. Hopefully it happens sooner than later. JMO

Leb, since you know it all, why don't you go out and become a head coach at a major D1 football program? You seem to have all the answers, so I am sure you could build a national championship program.

I probably could. Rest assured though it would be a recruiting powerhouse that is 100% on the up and up. :birgits_giggle:

I'm kind of tied up with y hotel stuff currently. If I ever decide to move on from this, I may give coaching a go. National Championship would probably take a good 3-4 years for me to achieve though. Go from WR coach at South Doyle to HC at Tennessee in 4 years. I'll look into it. :birgits_giggle:

I would have to pass on Bryce Love though. Just not a fan of the scatback type unless it's an emergency #5-6 guy. I'd sign Vaughn the Orange Mama. TIFWIW
