Not at all.
I've always liked the idea of getting your guy, then moving on to the next need. Quicker you can get the guys you want in the fold, the quicker you can cut your board down and focus on other positions of need.
I also look at it and think I took Reid because he filled a need on the roster. Has he done anything to warrant me looking at replacing him on the commitment list? Obviously I don't think so. Why drop a kid who has done nothing wrong? Maybe if I bought into the "placeholder" or "insurance" mindset others have, it would make sense to me. I just prefer to see a commitment as just that, a commitment.
