'15 NC RB Johnny Frasier

I usually agree with you, Leb, but I can't on this one.

No hard feelings. :p

Not at all.

I've always liked the idea of getting your guy, then moving on to the next need. Quicker you can get the guys you want in the fold, the quicker you can cut your board down and focus on other positions of need.

I also look at it and think I took Reid because he filled a need on the roster. Has he done anything to warrant me looking at replacing him on the commitment list? Obviously I don't think so. Why drop a kid who has done nothing wrong? Maybe if I bought into the "placeholder" or "insurance" mindset others have, it would make sense to me. I just prefer to see a commitment as just that, a commitment.

Maybe they feel good enough about these new DL after a summer of workouts and seeing how these kids came in that they feel they don't need a JUCO lineman outside of what they already have, and they decided to stick to High Schoolers only?

I mean, outside of Kamara, we haven't taken any JUCO's, and Kamara is virtually a freshman. Maybe we're just feeling good about our chances in a few years, and don't want to spend the depth on a player that will be here a year or two compared to four?

No idea. Don't see the staff sticking around for as long as they did on Jones, and then just dropping him, unless they feel REALLY good about what they have already on the team, or who they have publicly or silently committed.

Could very well be the case. I am a fan of taking HS kids over Juco kids if your talent allows for it. IF the UT staff did that with Jones, then as I said, it would be them passing on him in favor of Tuttle. As I said, rather than "make room" for an elite talent, they passed.

That plays into it a lot more than some want to admit that's for sure.

That does happen with some people, yes. I love Reid. But man, Frasier is really something else. I would like to be able to take all three and let the cream rise to the top, but that just isn't likely to happen in this class. No, I don't like just dropping a kid for no reason, but hasn't Reid been mentioned as possibly taking some visits? I may be wrong...I can't remember for sure. If he does take visits, then I say the spot is up for grabs and I would honestly say that Frasier is an upgrade. The kid is a beast, and definitely elite...imo. I've said it before and I'll say it again...one of my top 1-2 RBs in this entire class.

He has great balance, size and speed. He catches the ball well and he has that quick burst you look for in a RB. He's an every down RB. What more do you look for in an elite back?

That's elite.

Combined with his skills, offer list, and everything else I just don't see how in the world anyone wouldn't consider Frasier elite. I've seen him live twice and the kid is flat out impressive. He does everything well that you ask of a RB. He will be VERY tough to keep off the field wherever he ends up.

I haven't seen him play, but I have seen him at the county track meet and a passing league. He def runs well for his size.

My only concern at all is the competition. Idk why he didn't go to West or Clayton.

Most don't know that Rocky outplayed Mr.Scott during there State Championship game last year.

What? Scott ran for 209 yards and 3 touchdowns while Reid ran for 218 and one touchdown. They both had great performances but if I had to give the edge I would give it to Scott considering he scored 3 times.

Ljeller hou are right on fraiser. he is just the complete back, has it all. And you guys sleeping on reid are going to be very surprised.

He's one of the most complete backs in HS I've seen in a while. Kid does everything well. And you're right on Reid as well. If we could somehow get Frasier to join Reid and Kamara there isn't a school in the country that could touch our talent at RB.

I'm with LV on this one. I don't see this kid as "elite". Preston Williams is elite , Big Mac is elite. You cannot put frasier in the same class as those guys.

Certainitly, but if he signed here would he start as a freshman? No.

Preston and Big Mac are gonna be immediate impacts. Maybe my idea of Elite is different than everyone else's.

I think Jalen Hurd is universally considered as an "elite" talent and he's not gonna start game 1 as a freshman. That's a poor way to judge whether or not a player is elite imo.
