'15 NC RB Rocky Reid (Wake Forest commit)

Talk about your uninformed posts. Dobbs was, and still is, really really bad in practice. Ive been to 5 or 6 of them. For all his great play as of late he still has a long way to go as a quarterback.

But way to throw a terrible jab at an inappropriate time lol

Best to put that guy on ignore. He has nothing of value to say. All he ever does is post personal attacks against people who disagree with his opinion.

Whoa dude, take a deep breath.

You do know that UGA has only been recruiting Reid for a short period of time, don't you? They didn't pinpoint this kid as a priority in the beginning, and don't tell me they didn't know about him. He's played in championships and set records in a state where Georgia tries to make a heavy presence each and every year.

We aren't going to get on our knees for anybody. We have a Nebraska commit knocking on the door to get in; they know a thing or two about backs. We have another NC kid on the line whom Stanford continues to fly across the country to see. We'll get multiple studs, regardless of who leaves.

Yeah Bussey is a good one. One i would love to get as well. But just because Reid was not number 1 on Georgia's list does not mean he is not great! When do you see Geogia take mediocre RB's? If Reid makes there list he is a good one make no mistake! You never see Georgia recruit small fast RB's like we have the past few years.

And who said anything about kissing a$$? Its about keeping a recruit that would be a great RB Period! Thats why some of you guys are not coaches. And Thank god for that.

It's also rather premature to be basing comments about Reid vs other RB prospects when we don't even have Senior highlight reels on most of these guys and the services are going to revise their rankings post-season. Might as well hold off judgement until then.

I guarantee that folks attitude will magically change should Reid pickup a 4* from the services.

Just saying man, in a recruiting world where offers, including "non-commitable" offers, are doled out like cheap Halloween candy, Georgia didn't offer Reid until November. When they sat down and created their big board for 2015, Reid was obviously a very minimal priority in a state in which they try to create a heavy presence.

As far as your second statement is concerned, I agree, hence my post about our staff already being ahead of the curve while fans are struggling to grasp a prospect visiting another school. We can keep the good RB's we already have, or they can walk and we can bring in more great RB's.

I'll be here to celebrate either way.

Georgia has, in fact, taken mediocre RBs. The year that they recruited Crowell, Richt had the offense line up in the I formation without a RB to show Crowell what a priority he was. That year they were starting a converted LB their RBs were so bad. Ealey and Caleb King before that were nothing special. Moreno is the only Bulldog RB currently in the NFL. Just because they've hit on several good RBs recently doesn't mean they've been lights out for the last decade.

I had questions after Reid's junior year if he had the speed to be a difference maker in the SEC. I haven't seen his senior film yet. It's actually been tough to get ahold of. Obviously, he's putting up crazy numbers this season.

I was a little surprised when UGA offered, but they have missed on their top running back targets. Love has an UGA offer but I don't know how hard they recruited him or if he even liked them. I know their stable of young tailbacks turned some guys away.

Poster on TOS pointed out that despite being an early enrollee, Reid has yet to go on or set up any official visits.

There is theory that schools, including UT and GA, could be asking him to grayshirt, blueshirt or walk on.

That is quite a theory. Surely he could go on regular scholly or even EE at a school like Wisconsin, where they take big backs and turn them into NCAA record holders.

I agree on that...but what if he is dead set on playing in the sec?

Hopefully Reid is smart enough to tell them where to go with that idea. Kid could play as a TFR at a lot of schools. Maybe not in the SEC, but of course playing in the SEC is not a requirement to have a great college career, get a degree, and be drafted into the NFL.

Ya Wisconsin backs do great in the league.

I'm more less just talking in general. There were 19 RBs taken in the 2014 NFL draft and 3 were from the SEC.

Stanford, Boston College, Towson, Kent State, and others. If a kids ultimate goal is to play in the NFL, the SEC is not the lock on the front door a lot of fans want to think it is.

No way this kid accepts a walk on spot. Highly unlikely a grayshirt, maybe a blue shirt. I would go to Wisconsin or a NC school before that.

Especially at the RB position. The NFL wants fresh backs and the SEC tends to wear them down. I do think 2014 was a down year for RB's. I also think Gurley could have been the #1 overall pick if his year had continued the way it started.

To be honest, I've never really understood the excitement over Wisconsin RBs. They get and produce some decent backs, but nothing overly spectacular...Saturday's performance by Melvin Gordon notwithstanding lol. Ron Dayne was a great RB. They only have 2 RBs on current NFL rosters I think...Montee Ball(Broncos) and James White(Patriots). I just think they have a great system in which a college RB can thrive. That doesn't guarantee success in the NFL. Jmo...

Very seldom my friend, I deal with plenty of recruits. It's not often that msg board material runs a kid off. It could add to other bad elements as was the case of Jalen Rsmsey. Nothing is ever strictly due to a msg board. If you believe that i hv some swamp land to sell you in Arizona

And I can GUARANTEE u that most do read boards and threads about themselves, and it doesn't help when they read fans being ignorant. I don't think a board would run a recruit off, but it sure can piss off a 17 year old. But u should know that.

I hope I'm still around in a couple years when Reid is making all of u eat your words. Whether it be at UT/uga, or wherever, Reid will be a great college back.
