He's not recruiting him harder. The coaches may tell him that, but it's been reported multiple times Gentry is #1 on the board remaining. Guarantee Gentry is being recruited as hard or harder, he just doesn't post on twitter or do interviews as much about it. You're assuming. We would not pass on Gentry, and if Gentry commits, we'll probably still go after Gibson.

And how exactly do you know he's recruiting Gibson harder? Gentry keeps things quiet so we have no idea really. But I would bet they are recruiting Gentry just as hard if not harder than Gibson.

Agree. I think that after Gentry commits the staff might not recruit Gibson as hard as they have been but they'll still recruit him and if he wants to be a Vol on NSD, I find it hard to believe they would turn him away. My guess is that if Jennings, Gentry and Gibson all wanted to sign with UT that would happen. But what will most likely happen is that Gibson will have a new #1 soon after Gentry commits to UT.

Absolutely. Sounds as if Gentry is getting recruited atleast as hard and possibly more. I personally prefer Gentry just for his passing attributes alone. Gentry appears to be the better passer but still has mobility.

Definitely. I would be happy with either. Gentry is committing sooner though so I think he is probably the one we end up with. Now if Gentry doesn't pick us, we will probably see a full-court press on Gibson like no one has ever seen before.

Yes Sir. The sooner the better on Gentry so the staff knows how hard they need to go on Gibson. Not that they aren't now but like you said if Gentry does go elsewhere then you go all in on Gibson but also gives them an idea of who would be next in line if we don't get either. Really think we get one and hope its Gentry.

It's nice to be in this position, no? Having a shot at multiple top tier QBs... it's like being a young man in high school with several nice options for your date to the prom! (I was thankful to have one!)

Great analogy :)..Definitely a great position to be in. With all the skill guys we are loading up on we should be an attractive option for elite QB's. And not getting one last class definitely should help. When you have guys like 5* Nick Chubb from the '14 class saying the hardest Coach to say no to was Butch Jones then you know we have the right man!

Kinda crazy that we already have one, Jennings, but have two more that are considering being our 2nd.

My thinking is, we already have 1 dual threat QB on board. Gentry is a more polished passer than Gibson. We are in dire need of getting a true QB after not taking one last class. Gentry is the guy, IMO.

Really hope we land him. I think that will also give Preston some reassurance.

This is my thinking too. Dont see us taking 3 qb's and if Gentry pulls the trigger.....

Just because a guy can run fast doesn't mean he's not a "true QB". We run a spread, we need someone who is at least somewhat mobile. Gentry fits that mold, but the stigma that running QBs aren't as good of throwers simply because they can also run is overrated.

I agree with Ron's post a while back. We don't deny any of the 3 (Gibson, Gentry, Jennings) if they all want in. 2/3 can play other positions and play them well. If Gentry commits first I doubt Gibson will continue being interested and vice versa (you never know things could change on announcement dates).

WTF? Gentry trying to holler at his boy or what lol. Never in my life have I received a call from New Mexico. I guess Gentry is from Albuquerque, must be homies with Walter White
