I mean, what percentage of offensive rebounds does UT pull back out and restart the offense, as opposed to going right back up to the basket? 20%?
Like I've said since the first X game, our offense is fine, it's our defense that has been an issue. If we improve our consistency from the ft line, and continue to improve on defense we will improve tremendously as a team.
our walking it up offense and motion halfcourt offense against Xavier the first game for the first 12 minutes and scoring 7 pts was fine?
Basketball people here knew we could run them out of the gym and a double digit win at tipoff if the game was managed properly, which is what happened in game 2, after they had 2 starters back. That L had nothing to do with defense. Hopefully, it's not an L that keeps us out of the tourney.
Ha. We back to the possessions/gm debate that I shot down in hour 1 but continued for 2weeks?
Interesting, cause we had 7 less possessions in Game 2 versus Xavier, yet "ran them out of the gym" apparently.
Curious how many on this board think 58 possessions a game is running someone out of the gym?
Can't believe I have to do this again:
we had:
-4 more attempted fgs
-8 more ft's
-5 more offensive rebounds which doesn't count as a new possession
-12 more total rebounds, of which 7 count as a change of possession
-4 less turnovers.
That's how we ran them out of the gym and has 0 to do with possessions per game, for the 20th time.
So in other words we didn't actually RUN anymore, we simply shot free throws better, rebounder better, and took care of the ball better?
is this another thread to somehow try to prove a previous point/s a few weeks ago? Stats are for statisticians, not basketball people.
Throwing a Barton assist % in there or whatever the f that is was put in for a subtle point of some sort?, followed by "the fanbase *****ing" about offense. Thin as saran wrap.
When you get away from useless stats and want to talk hoops, I'm always here. When you want to maneuver silly stats to try to back a stance, I'll be here to shoot them down.
It means Barton needs to be more of a playmaker.
That is pretty simple to understand.
