'15 TN DE Dylan Jackson (former UT commit)

Just trying to make sure I'm clear on where things stand today.

Dylan responded to LSU's interest via a phone call and got an offer from Chavis.

The LSU site reported that Dylan said that he is committed to Tennessee.

However, at this point, he is considering taking some visits because it could be exciting to see other parts of the country.

There has been no reported updates from any of the Tennessee sites (e.g., VQ).

Am I missing anything?

You forgot the part where VN freaks out. You can probably insert "freak out" gifs after points 1 - 4. Then you will have everything pretty much covered.

This situation is gonna happen more often nowadays with kids making a commit earlier before their senior year when they can take their OVs.

If they decide on a early signing period, hope they allow earlier OVs.

This is how CBJ works. He is a good evaluator of talent and establishes a good relationship and offers kids early before they blow up and get more offers from other schools. Chances of a flip are low.

Let our commits take OVs if they want. They want to enjoy the process, esp if they start getting elite offers late and want to see those places for free.

Not worried about Dylan. He's a VFL IMO

Exactly, Who won't enjoy recruiting and take all the visits.

It was a mutual decision after he decided to take an official to Cincinnati from what was reported. I remember 247 and VQ saying the staff pushed for him to cancel that visit, when he wouldn't they pulled the offer.

I don't think they pulled the offer solely because of him visiting Cinci. There were a bunch of players last year who visited other teams after they were committed and their scholarship did not get pull.

I'd take all five visits and the accompanying trim... Ole miss and Arizona state would make the cut. Still deciding the other 3. I will release my final top five in October

But, yeah, it's easy for die-hard Tennessee fans to say "never would I ever take another visit if Tennessee offered."

I would have!
Bama, asu, uf, miami, usc/ucla/oregon :)

Fine co-ed buffet right there :hi:

I am old enough that I would have enjoyed meeting Bear Bryant. Meet any legend that you can...of course I would have really liked to ask him how it was to coach against General Neyland :salute:

My top 5:

UDub
USCw
Tejas
The U
Rocky Top

Gonna announce my choice with a live animal mascot. FWIW :)

Why would anyone want to visit USCw. It's in the middle of one of the worst ghettos in the country, Grand Central.

I would take the following:
San Diego State @SanDiego
Univ. of Arizona @ Tucson
Utah (Utes) @ Salt Lake City
Boise State @ Boise
and last - U-T @ Knoxville where I would commit sitting on a brick wall eating from a jar of peanut butter at the end of my visit. Nice vacation.

Huh? Tradition, history, game day at the Rose bowl versus Notre Dame, Meeting former NFL legends, night on the town in L.A. with the women.

Sign me up.

That Dylan Jackson sure is blowing up. Like a Bama co-ed at Golden Corral. IMO he stays at end and has a great career in orange.

A night in the ghetto, sounds great. UCLA is where you'd want to go to get the LA lifestyle, not USC. History and Tradition are extremely overrated.

I agree. He could move to OT and have a great career their. I think he could bulk up to around 270 and be a nasty SDE though. The offers from Alabama, LSU, and Stanford tell you all that you need to know about what kind of DE this kid is.
