I've heard that Jefferson is warming up to the idea of flipping to Ole Miss. Is this true?
Well, I mean the NFL does eat a coach's life. So perhaps that is why she has more bearing on his decision. I'm not going to tell any parent how to raise their kids, if she decides UGA is better for him and he doesn't have a major problem with it then good for him and his family. I do think she should see what UT has to offer to her son before she makes a decision but in any case I think Van will be fine.
I hate UGA but for the most part I think they are a pretty decent program when their players aren't being arrested.![]()
very true and is also planning to visit them but his dad is not down with anything to the liking of the state of Mississippi. And I quote you this as I was right there, Coach Freeze why would I allow my son to go to a school in which there was a protest about President Obama being re-elected and they called all groups of people not Caucasian racial terms.

Meachem as a freshman:
13 gms, 25 catches, 459 yds, 4 tds
Malone as a freshman thus far:
12 gms, 22 catches, 227 yds, 1 td
Meachem 2 years later as a RS junior.....
13 gms, 71 catches, 1,298 yds, 11 tds
I think that's his point.
I can't blame him there. No offense, but I've always wondered why a young black kid would ever want to go to Ole Miss of all places. Their team nickname is based off the confederate army. Their logo used to be an old plantation owner. As recently as 10 years ago, their fans used to wave confederate flags around campus on game day. To top it off, their most famous chant is "The south will rise again".

Say what you want, but these days the state of Mississippi has some of the best race relations in the South, if not the country IMO. I'm in MS often for work and the interactions between blacks and whites there is a sight to behold, especially from where things were 50 yrs ago. I hear the n-word and see a genuine lack of respect for other races far more in TN and KY, where I spend most of my time.
