'15 TN WR Van Jefferson

Exactly......some piss poor rumor IMO. OSU is very much in play and probably really is the frontrunner. Hopefully CBJ and Co can change that, but even the master of recruiting won't win them all. As crazy as it sounds, not everybody likes peanut butter. Even if it has hot sauce on it.

I laughed. Liked the analogy.

Yup. I agree. Other than him being instate, I don't really care at all. Williams and Bruce IMO would be just fine. They want to take another WR and move Bruce to CB, OK. I'd probably leave Bruce at Slot and pick up another CB.[/

I would rather have Bruce in the slot too! The kid could be dynamite with the ball in his hands, given the right situations.

Bruce over Van? :eek:lol::eek:lol:. Bruce will be lucky to still be with the team come NSD. We are just in on some much better talent.

Shouldn't have offered him so early.....

Happens all the time. I could be wrong about Bruce. However he is an instate kid and I think that's the main reason CBJ accepted his commitment. He could be insurance in case CBJ misses out on some other targets. It's a long way to NSD.

Uhh, YOU might think he's a stud but around the NFL he's referred to as "hurtin' Harvin" and not for what he does to anybody..He's played 55 out of a possible 84games in his career, along with no 1k receiving yd seasons, so what exactly screams "stud" about that..I stated in my post "Health issues" were the problem..What he should do and what he has done are 2 totally different things.."Studs" don't watch from the sidelines..

JMHFO

I respect your opinion, but prior to the ankle injury, followed by the fluke hip injury, he had played in 56 of 59 games. The injury label for him is a bit of a misnomer IMO. Zero 1,000 yd seasons is a bit misleading too because he affects the game in so many ways, not just at WR. In 2012, he had 50+ carries for 350+ yds in addition to 900 or so yds receiving. Not to mention his contributions on ST.

Crazy is right. I can't believe it.

He's in-state and a good player, but not a must get. Richmond, Phillips, Amadi in order of importance.

They need another WR in this class. He'll be in the rotation no later than 2016 (his sophomore year). If they don't get Van they'll take someone else, so lets hope they can land him.

As far as WR's go. Butch and this offense will definitely throw more and rotate more than OSU will. Butch likes to play a lot of WR's, Meyer not so much. Plus OSU just signed 5 4-star WR's in last year's class.

They'll still try to spin UT's WR recruiting numbers against us.

Y'all are surprised at what LP said? Lol, according to him Wegzyn has a legit shot at QB... so is there anything else to discuss?

This and he is dogging out Van. Obviously LP is a candy fan, or something along those lines. I do not think 1 in 102,000 fans wants to find us starting Wegzyn against BAMMER, the leg loving pups in ga, the reptiles, or even UTC for that matter.

Personally, I would hate to lose Jefferson. I think that he is an elite talent. I would especially hate to lose him to Urban Meyer, lowlife that I think that he is. He is not the highest priority, but I think he is still a priority.

I'm not concerned with getting any remaining recruits. They all know what CBJ and staff are about. They have seen our state of the art facilities. They know the outstanding talent that have committed and will do battle off their shoulder. They certainly know Neyland Stadium is one of the largest stadiums in the country for a reason. They are either all in or they go else where.

UF is in the mix for him... Don't be surprised if he ends up a Gator.

Man, you guys are delusional. Not once has Van even talked about the Gators. What reasoning are you putting behind this claim? Just because Florida started showing interest does not mean they will get said recruit. Florida will never get a recruit that Butch Jones wants without a serious fight. You guys are even losing recruits that you want in your own state. If Van goes anywhere besides Tennessee it will be to Ohio State. Deal with it! Can't wait to put a mud-stopping on you guys in Neyland this year! I will be there and will love every minute of it!
