'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

Worley has also been beat to hell and back, including a few shots to his arm,so keep that in mind when saying Worley hasn't played that well...all things considered,I think he's played pretty damn well...and this weekend will only get worse for him...

Just think what he could do if he had 3.5 seconds instead of 1.

I was just always told to watch how I would act around children. It is called being a gentleman and has nothing to do with our Constitution. I did not say we should put someone in jail. All I asked was to show some class with your language with children around. What is actually absurd is how you equate acting with dignity and class (which you say you would) with someone saying you can't have free speech. You could say out loud in from of a child that you want to **** their mama and you have free speech but no class. You would also then see my right to bear arms which is the second amendment but it would be my bicep as I broke your front teeth with my fist when you said it to my wife in front of my kid. :) but not to much :)

I hope you get the point now.

Pics please!

You want pics of chicken crazy leg's wife?

I do think we who loved playing the game of fooseball are a little crazy.

Still there have been multiple times he has had time and just made the wrong read on a pass or just make a terrible throw. And I'm not trying to hate. He's played a lot better than last year and is clearly the best QB on roster.

Him not being able to win us the UF game really proved a lot to me on just how average he really is. But like I said he's the best we've got and the leadership he brings is huge. Plus last year he was well below average so there's the improvement factor too

He is having to make his progressions faster than most college QBs and having to throw off the back foot at times. I'm not saying Worley is a pro caliber QB but he is probably doing about as well as he can considering what he is dealing with. Only criticism I have is he is failing to recognize blitzs where the CB walks up late.

Go back and watch the WRs in the UF game they seldom got off coverage. WRs did Worley no favors when he did get the ball to them with drops either.

I know this isn't his thread but man does Juaun Jennigs senior film look good.

Maybe he doesn't work out at QB...maybe he does, but his upside is tremendous.

Very informed, accurate, logical post. Needle meet haystack!

I'm surprised so many people think we should start a freshman QB next year. The past few years tell me that it isn't a good idea. Worley and Dobbs both struggled. Bray played well, but we were past the tougher part of the schedule. Dobbs and Peterman have been steadily improving since CBJ and his staff arrived. I think we'll see one of those two under center next year. If the OL steps up, one of them could have a very good year.

Also his job got harder when defenses found out they can get pressure on him with just a 3 or 4 man rush and drop the rest into coverage making the throwing lanes extremely small or nonexistent

Agree completely. Starting a freshman QB next year could be disastrous. Both QD and JJ need to RS.

I expect Peterman to really step up next year and have a Casey Clausen like year or two for us.

Casey Clausen was a calm, poised, clutch performer. Couldn't possibly be more 180 degrees opposite than what Peterman has shown us thus far. What in the world made you think of Clausen as the appropriate comparison?

I think he's just playing his character like he always does.

Exactly. That's what I want to see from Peterman. That's what we need

Curious: how did you talk about Peyton Manning after loses to uf? I am guessing you are not old enough.

I saw several bad decisions that appeared to be Worley trying to make a big play. Football is a team sport. If you were trying to lead the team and win, could you make these plays? I understand being upset by a loss, but the overall attack is getting old too.
It wasn't the fact we lost to UF. It's he had 5+ chances to seal the game. If he doesn't throw that endzone pick we win. If he doesn't throw that last pick we may win. One more play in a few spots and we win the game. One TD instead of 3 FGs and we win. It has nothing to do with UF itself, but more with how awful he looked against an average team. Our defense as a whole is better than UF's IMHO. So that means our offense was worse as a whole or that's my reasoning. Granted, they didn't look half bad with Treon, but Driskel played 3 quarters and was horrendous. We still lost. Worley was the main problem. You can say he didn't have time all you want, but if we kneed the ball 3 times instead of throwing that endzone pick, we arguably win that game. At the end of the game I was begging us to run because Worley was going to throw a pick and fans around me were disagreeing. Worley could handle it they said.

Maybe I'm salty, but I doubt it. I don't wear the orange colored classes when looking at Worley anymore.

I agree Worley made to many mistakes but UFs personnel is as good as anyone in the country.

Yeah they are better than I'm giving them credit for, but damn 9 points is inexcusable even if we played the Jaguars. I don't think we should score under 10 points ever. Against anyone in CFB. Maybe I'm a year off in thinking that

Ya I agree. Still stings

I guess what I was trying to say is that we need a Casey Clausen that can gut out Florida games. I was hoping, and had a feeling, that peterman might be the man to get it done. I think that performance he had in the swamp will fuel him to go in their next year and do what you and so many others think he can't do.

Yep and being there made it worse. What a letdown. I was with 4 people in their first Neyland experience, and the 6th was a Bama fan who had been to Neyland a good bit.

Man the future is bright on a positive note. The best players on our roster are almost all Fr/So with some upper classmen sprinkled in
