'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

What I like alot is that one of the qbs can move if he gets beat out talking about Jennings. The more I see both of them the more I can't decide on who I like better. Dormandy has all the tools and so does jennings. The fact that jennings has improved so immensely passing wise is really really exciting.

He not good enough for you? Would you rather he go elsewhere? There are plenty of teams that would be glad to have him.

What's your deal? He obviously said that because he was happy there was actually an on topic post again. You've been weirdly protective of anything you see as a slight against QD.

How was I or you supposed to know he wasn't saying Dormady finally had a big game? What's your deal? You a mind reader?

I'm just excited about the crop of qb's coming to Tenn.

Well, he said this

There is a whole lotta something going on up in here for a couple pages and not one post has anything to do with QD. Just saying..

then you said he had a good night and stats would be forthcoming, then he immediately posted this

context clues...

Exactly. That's what I want to see from Peterman. That's what we need

It is what we need but all evidence to this point says Peterman just isn't capable of it. Physically he's fine, mentally/emotionally he's not remotely in Clausen's galaxy.

When you're wrong?...and you just say "my bad"?...works every time. :yess:

I apologize. I didn't read all of the thread post by post. I see now that it was pointed out.

Guess I've become too accustomed to some on here trying to trash a kid because they prefer another.

Thanks

Makes you wonder if Dobbs can even throw the ball. The ideal QB for this system is a somewhat mobile one that can make all of the throws. Much more worried about the future QB than I am the OL.

I actually think dormady, as long as he's healthy, has a good chance of taking the starting job his freshman year. And I really like Kendall, think he challenges Dormady his sophomore year, and ends up getting it his junior year... Barring we don't sign like the number 1 qb down the road.
No faith in Jennings to develop enough in time to take the starting job. His completion rate is pretty dreadful, and it's high school. We can't afford that right now. I do like him to contribute, but not at qb so much, unless it's the occasional series which wouldn't even happen until he developed a couple years.

:whistling: Psst!!!! Jennings' completion rate is higher than Dormady's. Plus he has had a TON of drops this year. I love people that just throw "facts" around and don't have a clue what they are talking about.

I do like Dormady's game, too. I think we have 2 really good ones ready to battle it out.

I knew that was complete bull on Jennings completion rate. He has been outstanding.

9/10 completions last week. Terrible. I mean seriously? Who can't complete more than 9 out of 10 passes. [blue font]

Does Dormady have any speed and/ or elusiveness?

That's all we need. Doesn't have to be a Kaepernick. Just someone who can pick up a few yards when he needs to.

This. He is able to do that. He is also not afraid of contact nor is he afraid of throwing the ball away either. Through 7 games he has only fumbled the ball one time. And has a total of 147 rushing yards on 43 attempts. So in essence he does not run the ball a ton but runs it enough to keep the d honest

Well said.

Gun Lsinger kind of like bray but can actually move and run a little. Idk who the best comparison is but I'm excited for jennings and dormandy to compete with Dobbs

IMHO. I do not think Dobbs will start next yr. I think Dormady has a chance to be the starter. He has a cannon for an arm and like I said is able to run enough to keep the defense honest. I would compare him to be a little like Flacco is. Also Dormady is able to throw on the run cross his body which is a very good tangible to have.

IMO Dobbs will be the starter in 2015 and Peterman will be #2. I think that is exactly why CBJ is RSing Dobbs this year as IMO he would be #2 behind Worley right now. CBJ is rolling the dice that Worley stays healthy enough to finish the year and it would not waste a year for Dobbs in mop up duty. Jennings and Dormady RS IMO in 2015. Then I expect to see Kendall RS for 2016.

I think people sell Dobbs short after he was thrown to the wolves last year because of injuries. The kid is talented and does move pretty well. His time in the system IMO gives him a huge advantage over the new guys coming in. I think he easily wins the QB battle in 2015.

Yep

Everyone thinks a true freshman quarterback in the SEC is going to be the answer. I'd love to see some recent track record on that line of thought.

Dobbs

Worked out okay the last time we had a white pro-style and african american dual threat starting as freshman. Ainge and Schaeffer 2.0? Except JJ is a far more intelligent human being than Schaeffer.. eeeesh.

in b4 that's racist gif
